Have ordered from here countless times over the last few months, good food at good prices. Never had an issue.

We are regular customers and order the same food every time, we had the same food last night and we had to throw most of it in the bin, the only thing we ate were the prawn crackers. The chips were cold and dry, chicken chowmein was cold with a few bits of cold dry chicken thrown on top, egg fried rice dry and cold and the chicken balls were soggy and undercooked and the sweet and sour sauce was a solid jelly not a liquid no more orders for you guys I'm afraid..

Absolutely top quality food as always. One of the best Chinese take aways in Caerphilly.

If there was an option to give less, I would. We have previously been loyal customers of Royal Palace, yes they have had the odd 'off night' where we haven't enjoyed the food but we have given them the benefit of the doubt. However, after this evening, I can honestly say we will NOT return. We ordered our usual, only to find that when we got home, the order was wrong. 2 dishes were incorrect. I phoned them only to be told that I must've given them my order wrong. I did not. My child has allergies and we can only order limited dishes because of this. We were given Egg Fu Yung and Chicken Chow Mein - which I did NOT order. Despite me saying that I did not have plain soft noodles in front of me, the lady on the phone repeatedly told me that I did. I did not. I asked to speak to the manager, and although I could hear them talking in the background, he did not come to the phone. She came back to the phone, and maintained that my order must have been given wrong and said that 'she did not know what to do'. My husband returned to the shop to hand back the wrong order and request a refund of the incorrect dishes which was initially refused. Eventually, we were given our money back for the 2 dishes that we paid for, but did not receive. Please note, the manager of Royal Palace made NO APOLOGY for the situation, or the wrong food that was provided which could've caused ANAPHYLAXIS. He did however, hurl abuse at my husband effing and jeffing the whole time. My husband did not speak to him in any similar way to retaliate, which he was able to bring to his attention. I am appalled and disgraced by his behaviour and that of the customer service received by staff. The person on the phone only said sorry after I had specifically brought to her attention that she had not even offered an apology. We will be reporting this matter to the Food Standard Agency and our local council. If you have ALLERGIES, please AVOID this chinese takeaway! They do not take the matter seriously, and when something does go wrong, they abuse you for even mentioning it.

OK so this is an update, last night me and my fiancée had a delivery from here. After being told the food would be an order we settled into doing the thing that fiancées do together when there is time to spare 😏😉 so after 16 minutes of ignoring each other and staring at our phones there is a knock at the door and who is it but none other than the delivery driver with our food. So after a scramble to put away our phones we settled into our food, which was absolutely delicious. So delicious that I couldn't stop eating it and popped a button on my trousers and gave myself indigestion. The moral of this story is expect good food, don't get too busy after ordering food, and slow down eating.

Disgusting food! Will never order from this “restaurant” again! Chips were way to greasy for any of my families and my liking! Noodles were way to sweat for any of us and when ordered egg fried rice there was no egg in the rice! Will never be ordering from this “restaurant” / “takeaway” again!

Ordered food, food took a while but I understand that it does take a while to find my address. But he rang and said I've been knocking for ages and my friend apologised and he just hung up on her. We went outside he wasn't there so we rang him back and he answered with a disgusting attitude. Every time I asked where he is he kept saying at the address and when I explained where to go because I got confused where he was he kept shouting at me. His attitude was appalling.He then said f**k you, you b**ch got back in his car and sped of and beeped to cause a reaction without delivering the food.I then rang management and she did deal with it in a good way but not professional.Got told that she has to get of the phone to cook my food not even an apology.By the way this place is under new management because I've never experienced this in my life. I am appalled from the way the guy spoke to me and also that I got told the manager had to get of the phone to cook my food.The food was alright not enough sauce but I put that down to they had to get the food to us quick because of what happened.I will not be returning again as I am so upset with what I got called as no customer deserves that I have been cutting hair for years and would never dream of speaking or treating my customers this way.I then asked if I can have anything of from my food for the inconvenience and I got told they can take of for the delivery which was 3 pounds!!!! If I had done any of this to any of my clients I would of never of expected them to pay for any service they were unhappy with. So I'm disgusted.

Unfortunately this was a second in a row that my meal was ruined. Half the order arrived and when called back I was given two options. Have my other half of the order sent up or credit the money. Since I had to feed alk the people I ordered for I asked for the delivery. They weren't too happy but eventually agreed. By the time the rest arrived the other food was cold. Never order from this place again and although the girl on the phone was polite and tried to be helpful the manager/owner ? was a waste of effort. That's £30 down the drain.
