Canada Lodge in Cardiff

Well what can we say about Canada Lodge and Lake that would do the venue and Nicola and her team justice?Sally and I got married here on 8th June 2022 in Rhodri's and we had the most amazing day ever 💕All the staff were amazing from the maintenance team to the bar staff, from the servers and chefs to the wedding coordinators. What a wonderful team you have there, you should be so proud!For a venue that mostly delivers weddings, you had the ability to make us feel like we were the only wedding you have ever done. You made us feel so unique and special 💖A particular mention to Jasmine and Lee who looked after us on the day. We cannot thank you enough for making our day perfect, you were both amazing and so organised, reassuring and calming on the day.Also a mention to Delyth who looked after us at breakfast time, always nice to see a friendly face when you're a little worse for wear! The breakfast was just what we needed 😋The venue is absolutely stunning, so beautiful and we were blessed with fine weather ☀️ The food in the day was wonderful, so well presented and so tasty. The rooms and lodges are first class, so well kitted out with beautiful views overlooking the lake, all our guests loved them.We had a perfect day in a perfect venue and cannot recommend highly enough. I cannot think of a better venue to get married in, or for your guests to enjoy, absolutely fantastic.Thank you everyone involved in making our day so special and memorable ❤️ 💕Lots of love Sally and John xxx

What a beautiful place to exchange wedding vows.The food is absolutely top notchThe accomodation relaxing and super clean.

What a beautiful place for a wedding so close to Cardiff! And you can stay in the lodges, although we didn't so no idea on prices. Nice seating area outside although there were mosquitoes this time of year. Occasionally there was that Spanish hot day sewer smell too! But staff were lovely, beer selection was OK and bar prices reasonable! Dancefloor just the right size and the DJ that was there was great too!

From the moment we drove down the long welcoming entrance, we knew this venue was the one for us. Open car parking space, leading to the wooden lodge overlooking a lake with two impressive fountains. Canada lodge is the perfect mix of outdoor meets indoor for a venue, with all-inclusive wedding day potential and accommodation to make this a dream combination to some couples. To think its tucked away just outside Cardiff!The venue has been extremely accommodating and easy to work with, despite a global pandemic, no request or question was too much or left un-responded to. The whole day was contained in the main lodge with the ceremony upstairs and wedding breakfast located directly below. Good overall accessibility to the site and mobility around it were key for some of our guests, and we were relived to find this catered for.We wanted to go further with our food on the day, and we were difficult to please no doubt – asking for things outside of the norm. However Canada Lodge rose to the challenge and it’s catering team and head chef Vasanth, worked with us to create bespoke beautiful canapés and a carvery style banquet for the wedding breakfast.The staff were always polite, kind, and happy to help. We had an amazing service from beginning to end, starting notably with the wonderful Hollie and her impressive event team on the day and this continued to the day with the front of house team lead impressively by Delyth – who worked all day to ensure we were happy and comfortable. The day went without a hitch thanks to the hard work of all those at Canada Lodge.We want to say a very special thank you to Hollie for the hard work and dedication she put in to making our day, bespoke, organised and understood by all.If you’re looking for a venue with a difference that guests will remember for a long time to come, then look no further.Thank you to all those at Canada lodge for being the most amazing venue for our special day.Joe and Mark.

My dearest friends sons wedding. Beautiful Bride and Groom. Staff were so helpful. Grounds and lodges amazing. A great place to stay and write and hide from the World. Hope to return one day

Visited for a family wedding and the site is stunning. The facilities are excellent, with a lake in the middle full of trout and lovely wood cottages around it. Would highly recommend the place for any functions.

We stayed in one of the apparents with our own private hot tub, loved it! Beautiful place, absolutely stunning! So relaxing & peaceful. Friendly & helpful staff. I would highly recommend a visit! I can't wait to go back!

Looks great, staff are friendly and look like a great location for wedding. Package guides are simple, clear and fair. Accommodation looks fabulous and there's loads of opportunities for photos. The main lodge looks lovely from outside, the top room is in keeping with the feel.However, the downstairs function room departs from the rustic and natural theme, becoming a little corporate and cold.But you won't be disappointed and well worth a thought for your event.

Had a wonderful time here. Felt like it was my second honeymoon trip.we got the chance to stay both in the cabin room and the apartment. I found the Cabin gave us more privacy compared to the apartment.All the staffs were very friendly and the breakfast served was tasty and fresh.I enjoyed every bit of the stay.
