Coopers Carvery / The Culverhouse in Cardiff

We visited yesterday with my 2yrs old, food was absolutly amazing, all staff was very friendly n the manager super nice, I had to use a bathroom but my little man didn't wanted to leave the table so he throw a little tantrum as there was just two of us I couldn't left him alone so the lovely dark haired manageress offered to watch him for me while I quickly went to toilet, while I was coming back I notice my little boy its laughing his face off as she made funny faces to keep him occupied. Absolutely recommended the place to everyone. Definitely going to go back there.

Went to coopers for a meal with the family . Haven’t been there for over a year. Carvery was quite different from when we last visited although Still very enjoyable. Was greeted at the door by whom Im assuming was the manager very smartly dressed and most welcoming It was a very busy evening but she still managed to sit all 7 of us. Was very grateful as She took it upon herself to look after us for the duration of our visit helped my mother who is elderly with disability, she arranged with the chef for my mum to have a childrens meal as the carvery is way too big for her, Great experience in all and my mother absolutely loved this lovey lady, we also asked about sunday lunches and was immediately booked in for week sunday and my mum was guaranteed this lady would be looking after her again, We look forward to our next visit

I booked a table of 8 with a wheelchair. We were greeted and seated by a lovely lady. She was very helpful and understanding as my party was mainly of special needs. I could not fault them at how patient she was and how she took time to talk to my clients. Will recommend to all

Consistently brilliant- don’t change anything- staff always helpful and efficient and food always spot on. They do what they do extremely well. We are regular customers and pick it over many other places because it’s consistent and good value thanks

You won't be hungry leaving this place! The meats were very good, but the veg were a little watery. Having said that the place was clean and comfortable, and affordable.

Very dirty glasses, literally wiped around the inside of the glasses we had and my napkin was brown. Staff were lovely, they changed my drink but I couldn't eat my meal after that. I was given a discount but sorry, I wouldn't go back after that. Shame, as it's a nice, friendly and affordable restaurant.

Went for a family meal for my father's birthday. We were informed the fryers weren't working ,but still went ahead with the meal. There were many items they had run out of so we had to pick something else off a very limited menu due to the fryers not working. We were kept waiting for a long time for our food which was overcooked & not very warm when it eventually arrived. 2 people from our party had the carvery which was of a very poor standard the roast potatoes were dry & burnt & the Yorkshire puddings look like they were yesterday's. Staff tried their best but sadly overall not the best birthday meal we've had.

One of the best carvery I have been to. Wonderful good food and really nice staffI have never had a bad meal here, and also good value.

Visited approximately 9 times since 2019.Nice size car park, tidy clean bar and dining area.Food varies between dry (gravy helps) and excellent.Reasonable price in the week...expensive on a Weekend.

The veg on the carvery looked like it was from 3 hours ago so a little refresh would be great it's not all about profit use smaller display dishes. The waitress was great so the quality of the food let it down.
