Custom House in Cardiff

Pick your own meat, plenty of sides reasonably priced for how delicious the food is. Not my first visit, I’ve been several times over the past 4 /5 years and has been consistent on every visit worth a visit if your in Cardiff

Had a fantastic meal ,the service was also extremely good, We sat outside on the Sun Terrace and the Sun was shining.Will return again soon.

The food was fantastic, especially the slow cooked lamb. Everyone enjoyed their meals thoroughly, although the paella starter needed a little more flavour.Unfortunately, the bar was incredibly slow and we waited a long time to get served prior to being seated, and it was a little too noisy to hold a decent conversation.Please note that you must go to a food order point to place your orders, and this is not ideal for everyone.

The custom house is one of my favourite places to eat out in cardiff, I love the Sunday roast and for the quality and service I think it is good value. Perfect place for a celebration! Every time I have been it has been busy the atmosphere is bustling but the food has always been quick but not rushed! The food is delicious I will definitely be back! It’s also a good place to stop for a drink on the sunny terrace when the weather is good!

First impressions it was a fabulous looking place, the staff were professional and friendly. But I was disappointed to find you had to go to the open kitchen and check out a board to decide what you wanted and order at the counter, for the prices asked I would have expected a menu on the table so you could take your time choosing. The food was cooked well, I ordered venison in a peppercorn sauce but I couldn't taste the venison. Their creme brulee was to die for.

Great location for lunch or dinner. Free parking if you are dining at the restaurant.Great selection of food cooked to order. I really like the idea of this place and actually going up to the seafood counter and choosing your meal.Staff very friendly and helpful. Good selections of wine too.

Right let's start with good points...food was excellent can't fault it it always is and such a beautiful place.The not so good points were the staff weren't the most happiest they were miserable. My friends vegetables came out after she had nearly finished her food.The bill wasn't done correctly charged us for 2 desserts and sides we didn't have.Would recommend as long as you can overlook not so good service.

Good service, lovely food but not my preferred way to order a meal. Have to queue up like a school canteen and pick what you want to eat from the options written on a wall. Not a lot of thinking time especially if people are behind you waiting their turn.Extensive wine list if you know your wines - I don't. Price wise on a par with Millar and carter.

Very impressed. 1st visit and already book in. Food was perfect. The goat cheese starter was delicious. Salmon was cooked to perfection. Cheesecake to finish.Reasonable priced. Huge wine choice. Later enjoyed the outdoor space. Can't wait to go back
