Deli Fuego in Cardiff

I've been to this restaurant maybe 20 to 25 times over the years and I've never once had a bad meal or experience there.This time around I went with 5 friends and ordered sharing platter 3. Absolutely beautiful food. The wait staff were very good and the manager was absolutely brilliant. I hope this restaurant stays in carduff for many years to come.

So disappointed with the buffet iftar at Delifuego today. It was a total mismanagement with poor quality food and decor. The buffet price was equal to the good quality buffet restaurants in the city, but food quality or quantity was no match. It was worse than a£10 buffet. For the price we paid, we expected drinks to be included. We paid for fresh juice, but only received canned juice. A large number of seating was cramped in an utterly dilapidated hall with poor quality furniture, cutlery and utensils. Number of staff were minimal and they all looked terribly overworked. As a regular customer we expected better service.

My family and I attended the Deli Fuego Ramadan Iftar Buffet and had a thoroughly good time. The buffet is located on the top floor. There’s no lift so be mindful of this. Drinks cost extra, there’s a jug of water and dates on every table, but it’s worth having a refreshing mojito. Each table has a number for convenience of ordering drinks and payment. The toilets were clean and prayer rooms are available. Make sure you get there early to find parking in the area as there is no designated parking. There are two buffets with the exact same spread to help with congestion. The buffet was very rich and varied. There were soups and all kinds of salad, plenty of grilled and cooked meats, kofta, rice, pizza, chips, and biryani to name a few.The chafing dishes were replenished often. The dining area was large and a lot of people were in attendance but I can honestly say we were all stuffed by the end. There was a dessert table set up with mini gateaux etc. and a tea making station with tea on tap. Service was good and tables were cleared promptly. My family really enjoyed the evening and were very pleased. Thank you!

I would like to say that Mohamad and his team was amazing by supporting me.I was organising a babyshower and they could not be more helpful and the food was amazing and everyone was more then happy 😊 that left myself feeling that I have organised a successful baby shower for my best friend ❤ Thank you Deli Fuego

One of the best services in Cardiff.Very professional waiting staff and food is great.Ordered mixed grill, nice lean meat. Meat quality is very good.We will come back again

Very average. Ordered medium steak,got it well done, slightly burnt, just saved by the taste. Pasta had no taste. Pizza was greasy and salty. Had to ask for water 3 times. Very confusing interior, part shop/part cake shop / part restraunt. Did not have deserts.

Food is good. Customer service is poor. There is a guy in glasses, probably the manager. Who only greets some people well. I went in to order, and he said two seconds to me and started scolding/talking to the workers there. I waited two mins.1. The customer should not be asked to wait while there is 5 workers standing and talking.2. If you are telling your workers something, you should respect them enough to give these lessons in private.

I love this place. So much to choose from and it's Halal. My favourite is the lasagne, my sons is the calamari rings. Staff are very welcoming. Portion sizes are good, you won't be leaving hungry!

Once a 5-star restaurant with 5-star hygiene rating. Today a 3-star hygiene rating and due to the quality of service a 3-star experience. Once the best restaurant in Cardiff and now not any more.Some hints of its superb history with the chicken wings, tabbouleh, chicken Musahab and the grilled prawns. But also very bland side lettuce, and lacking flavours in all the other dishes.The most telling aspect was the poor service. Had to ask to cutlery, napkins, water, drinks, food etc. Felt like we were managing the experience.Food overall had some good bits but hard to justify coming back as frequently. Due to poorly cooked kids burger, manager removed it from the bill.

Unbelievably poor service. I’m sure this place is great but my experience speaks otherwise.Issues:Plate full of knife and folk left for us on a single plate (17 of us came here).Waited ages for water to be given. Was told there were either not enough glasses washed or something (didnt clearly hear what was said).Drinks were served 3 people at a time and us having to constantly ask for other group members drinks. What was the meaning if this?Food, semi ok. One of us was served burnt food which was quickly changed. The burgers were dry with the chicken burger especially having no sauce within it. Also Why did I have to ask for sauce when many of us had chips with our orders (waited for this for a while). Why did I constantly have to ask for the bread and once it arrived it was rock solid.The star incident that epitomised the establishment was the waiters constantly going to the same table with plates of food and looking bemused when told it wasnt theirs. I watch with eagerness for this to happen to our order and sure enough it was given to that table and then picked up and given to us. I asked whether the food had been touched and the waiter said only plate was. This waiter, clearly new, was confused and was simply following the waiter in front and upon my re-questioning understood I was watching carefully to ensure the food was replaced.The service was appalling. The food is ok/good depending on what you order Dont get the burgers, none of them. Dont get the wings, Dont get the fresh mango juice (it’s not fresh).I doubt my review will dent their business. But this is my only way to express my displeasure with this business.
