Fintans Fish & Chip Co in Cardiff

Been coming here since the Top Gun days. Sure they have their bad days like every fast food place…but the staff are always consistently good people. My go to chippy for British comfort food. Greg and the rest of the current team are smashing it, keep up the quality work!

Food was great, placed a large order for work and confirmed order was correct. But when we got back loads of food was missing. Couldn't get through to let them know we had so much missing. Disappointing service, I know they are busy but shouldn't be missing so much from a £80 order. Disappointed and wont be going there again.

Just had lovely fish and chips at Fintans Pentwyn.Would of been 5 stars...Had it not been for Capital radio blasting and I mean blasting out...may be morale boosting for staff, not for customers eating in...

Popped in whilst waiting around for someone with an appointment.Excellent service. Prices were very reasonable. Food was amazing and portions were very generous.Looking forward to "popping in" again!

Made a delivery there, and had to take a taco break, staff were amazing and friendly. I had sausage curry and chips in a tray and was the nicest chips I've had in a very long time! 5*

Visiting the area & googled gluten free fish & chips reviews came back very good & decided to go.Very clean and tidy outfit, staff were excellent with a great range of GF choices. We had chips, fish, mushy peas, sausage & curry sauce. All GF.Unfortunately, the quality of food, in my experience, didn't rack up to other customers' experiences.They serviced the food & the chios were basically cold, just unacceptable.Staff were notified & were replaced and apologised.The fish, sausage, curry sauce were all very good, but Chips & mushy peas were well below acceptable.I'm disappointed, to say the least.

Amazing fish and chips! Girlfriend had the gluten free fish and chips with curry sauce and said it was amazing! She wasn't too keen on the GF curry sauce but it was still amazing! Thank you!

Usually very nice fish and chips, and tonight wasn't disappointing either. A little more pricey for what you get, but the quality is usuàlly there. Freshly cooked fish to order, and a well known name around Cardiff

Hi I collected 2 x fish and chips around 5.30pm and you need to change your oil in the chipper and where you dip your fish into..The fish was soaking in fat and very sticky and wet .£14.50 and it had to go in the bin,we are disabled and can't afford to waste money.So we has a sandwich instead. Part 2 = Here is the receipt that you wanted.Ive been going to chip shops more almost all my life and that fish was like a sponge filled with water,you could squeeze it out and it would drip it that much fat in it .£5 per piece a fish that was flat and dripping in fat,it was that wet it stuck so much to the chips and turned us completely off the food .Bloody horrible.

Me and t’Missus popped in on our way back to the Premier Inn hotel that we’re staying in - and very happy with our experience. Clean, bright restaurant, friendly, approachable staff and some really cracking fish’n’chips - I had the Large Cod Fish Supper (fish, chunky chips, minted mushy peas and drink) and the Scampy & Salad (hey, I was hungry!!) and Caroline had the Chip Butty and (Very Large!) Irish Curry Sauce.Incredibly happy with our visit and would heartily recommend a visit - even if it’s located at the back of a garage and out of the way.
