Fantastic pub with top nosh, esp on a Sunday! Take aways available and even a meal on the menu for your 🐶. Great selection of real ales and often bands playing too! Front and rear beer gardens..

Lovely meal. Service very good. Table 16 nice . Only downside was that the table water was colder than the bottle of wine. Overall though really enjoyed it and would definitely go again.

Beautiful pub and lovely place to stay. We stopped there over night on the way home to break up a long drive, and I regret we weren't there longer. Food was amazing, both the evening meal and the following breakfast, and the location is fantastic. We went for a walk up the mountain with the dog and really enjoyed every minute. The rooms are comfortably furnished, the beds are very good, and the bathrooms wonderful. I would heartily recommend.

Nice little pub, only a couple vegetatian/vegan options, but they do offer a 'dog's dinner'. Staff were lovely, food was good. Dogs are allowed inside, book ahead if you don't want to be disappointed.

Fantastic pub in the heart of the village! Incredible food, and as it's dog friendly they even do a dogs dinner for your pooch. Food and bar prices are fair. Often have live music and there's a weekly quiz - even summer festivals. On Sundays they do a Carpark Carvery where you can get a hot roll, roasties and a little pot of gravy to dip them into. Perfect to stop off at after climbing The Garth. Highly recommend!

The food was amazing! Very comfortable setting. A relaxed pub atmosphere downstairs with a really nice dining area upstairs. Would definitely recommend for a meal or just meeting friends and family.

This place is a rare find , decided to look for a pub with good food on trip advisor and the reviews led us here .Lovely cosy pub great atmosphere, very busy and with no reservation we took a chance and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. The food is lovely, homemade with a great choice , will definitely be returning 😊

Delicious roast dinner on a cold Sunday in January. Good portion of meat and pots with vegetables to share. Desserts were freshly made and tasty too. Service was good and friendly. The only reason for the 4 and not 5* was the venue felt a little 'tired'. We hadn't visited for about 5 years and nothing had changed. Not a major refurb needed by any means just a bit of a clean up. Appreciate that the pub is used by lots of walkers so foot traffic is high.

Always friendly and helpful. The meals are so tasty and love on Sunday how they ask how you'd like your beef cooked. The beef just melts in your mouth. Thanks to all the staff for always being attentive 😊👍
