Nice pub, clean, peaceful, friendly staff, good food. (Has a carvery, plenty of parking, plenty of outside seating. Has a wacky warehouse for the kids too.

We come here for the Sunday carvery cos it's the best around, great value for the money! Sorry only got a photo of the dessert, cos the carvery didn't stay on the plate long enough for a photo 😋😂Edited 21st June 22Finally remembered to take a photo of our carvery 😋

Well...what a lovely surprise that was! I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much but couldn't have had a nicer experience! 15 of us ate without a single complaint and the staff were friendly without being in your face. It's a busy place so I'd advise booking. They've given the building a wonderful makeover since the days of the dreadful pubs that preceded it and you'll be seated in a large and airy stone and beams building. Very family friendly. Look forward to my return!

Carvery collection via the Too Good To Go app. Two HUGE carveries with turkey, beautiful gammon, roast potatoes, boiled potatoes, mash potatoes, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower cheese, sprouts, stuffing, gravy and four Yorkshire puddings. I'm not gonna argue for 4 quid each but I have to say it was immense, easily enough for more 👌💋

We turned up starving hungry and been told we cant have ANY food but all the beef and turkey were steaming waiting on the side. Cant have any food unless booked, but wait we have money hello. However I called while on the table to book table and food my phone been answered and put on voice mail str8 away couple of times. The ratings of 3.8 at the time is well deserved.

Always seems short staffed or there skiving no very professional service and that is the 3rd visit & same every time. But food is nice and lovely place to relax with family.

Waited 45 mins to be told to go get my carvery, wrong meals brought to table and when it arrived it was wrong again. Worst meal I have ever had. Plastic cheese on the cheese burger.

A massive thank you to Taylor today working behind the bar with you.I was having terrible trouble with my car sat nav and popped in hoping for some help in getting where I needed to go. Taylor was fantastic, understanding my stress and empathetically helped me find where I needed to go and got the directions written down.A true moment of empathy that really turned my day around, so thank you.

Turned up to find it was only carvery and kids meals available (Sat night).Then found out that an adult had to be with the kids at all times when in the play area, meaning we had to move all 11 of us into the play area.The carvery was hit and miss. The meat was lovely but there were no green beans or new potatoes left and the roast potatoes and parsnips were rock solid. The rest was ok. Gravy was nice and there were 5 sauces available which was nice.The staff were really helpful though. Helped us with the birthday cake for my mother's birthday and helped us with ordering separately rather than using the app.Drinks are a bit pricey (especially soft drinks).Play area is great for kids though and sitting in there to eat wasn't too bad in the end.Wish it was a full menu, but it wasn't too bad in the end.

It can be a bit of a gamble opting for a carvery meal, especially when you've never visited the establishment before, and we've had some stinkers in the past.But this time the gamble paid off in spades! Beautiful, thick slices of succulent meats cooked to perfection along with a huge selection of the tastiest vegetables and onion gravy were our reward for taking a chance.Lovely, friendly staff added greatly to our experience and I can wholeheartedly recommend you come here for a meal or even just drinks. 😋
