Hollybush pub in Cardiff

Very nice place.the manager was very kind and helpful. I like to Thank the manager and all the staff for the welcome and hard work they all do .I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Many Thanks to you all.

Warning to all Dj'S and Artists in the entertainment industry in and around the cardiff areaSaturday 22nd jan 2022i had the misfortune of covering a venue for the Regular Dj at the Hollybush in Pentwyn Cardiffmy contact details was given to the licency (Karen Woodward) by the Dj that was unable to work that evening.I was then contacted by her over " whats App" and arrangement's were made to cover the venue although it was only a few hours noticeAfter the evening had concluded i was approached by the then a drunk landlady and was told payment wouldnot be forthcoming by her and i was to contact the previous DJ for payment as she dont see why it was her concern as it was his work i was doingunable to deal with the matter with a drunken landlady at 12oclock in the evening that acted like a 15yr old in a school yard .i then left without paymentI contacted the Reg Dj the next day; To find that when she said she had already paid him for the night. what she didnt say was she had already knowing received the payment back into her account before id even been contacted by her that dayI dont say this lightly nor do i post negative comments ,but after over 25yrs of being in this industry and a licency myself too.ive never seen such a immature and unprofessional person that has a dutie of care for her customers and others around herplease be aware of this when taking a booking for this venue or visiting this public house

When a DJ plays here you should not with hold there money not nice

These local pubs are really going to have to try harder if they want people to spend there hard earned cash ,terrible service most food unavailable, finally ordered food only to wait 40 minutes in a nearly empty pub cancelled order and left ,pull your finger out if you want to stay open

Went to the Hollybush on Sunday with a friend and two dog's. Having never been was abit wary of how it would be with the dog's. We were warmly welcomed by the staff who brought us water for the dog's and gave them lots of attention. The other customers were also very friendly. All the staff were helpful welcoming and served our drinks with a warm smile. I really enjoyed our visit. I will definitely visit again. 5/5 paw score from the dog's also.

Great atmosphere. Friendly, helpful staff who will always go the extra mile to help if allowed to. Amazing food with a range of choices. Dog friendly. Lovely little place to go for a meal with family, including children. Better than any other pub/restaurant options in the area by far.
