Lewis Arms in Cardiff

It's a Brains pub,nothing fancy here,good staff though,will visit again, K

I asked for my Lasagne to not be accompanied by the salad garnish and garlic bread but this request was ignored. The portion of Lasagne was the smallest I'd ever been served which was disappointing. We will not be returning.

Another ex - brains now Marsden's pub. Seems to have lost some of its character since. However a friendly, well laid out pub with good beer. The pub food menu looked OK and they were taking bookings so assume it's pretty good.

A lovely little pub that allows us to have a junior football club end of season awards. The service was great, the speed of the food coming out was great and the staff were fantastic. Can't fault anything. 👍

Poor service. Food served did not match description on menu, eg creamy garlic mushrooms in a cheese sauce served with bread actually came as greasy, deep fried, breaded mushrooms - no sauce or bread. Butter chicken was, in fact, southern fried chicken and not cooked through, pork chop was greasy and barely edible. Won't be rushing back!

Empty bar ~7pm, to cook two garlic breads and a plate of chips took 40 mins. Garlic bread was burnt and had a long silver hair. Beer foam had short hair. Cmon, I wouldn't write if any of these happened, but not the bingo.

Visited the pub briefly earlier today and the landlady made us feel really welcome. Sarah brought colouring items for the children and chatted to us as if we were regulars, making us feel at home. Some young lads were swearing and she was straight on it because we had children with us, which you could see the young lads respected her, it was clear she ran a tight ship. We were pleasantly surprised with how friendly and welcoming it was in the pub.

Called in with my 2 children and a friend for a drink, the landlady was amazing, friendly, welcoming, gave my children activity packs, nothing was to much trouble would definitely go back, thank you x

Lovely friendly staff and atmosphere, very welcoming. Food was excellent. We had Sunday roast, lots of it and very tasty. Will definitely be visiting again.

The Lewis provided great pub grubI had lunch at the Lewis Arms on Monday the 25th of February as I rushed between appointments.The food was simple, but well cooked and the environment was perfect for me to sit and relax while eating my food and enjoying my book.The Nachos were a nice spicy start and the mixed grill had a lovely selection of meat. It might have helped to have a bigger plate for the Mixed Grill so it wasn't piled up so high, but that didn't affect the flavours or the enjoyment.
