Miller & Carter The Hayes in Cardiff

Moved to this branch after a disappointing start in The Bay Miller and Carter as there was no veggie options left there and tbh it was like a glorified Harvester, tables way too close together and very noisy.In contrast The Hayes is in a different league, tables well spaced out, totally different vibe, food lovely so what started as a disappointing evening turned out OK.

So delicious! My first time visiting and I will be back! Who knew iceberg lettuce could be soooo good!

Had a lovely dinner, butchers block was an enormous amount of food and a great selection! Served wonderfully by Kasia who was an excellent waitress and very attentive. Thanks for a great evening :)

CHATEAU EXPERIENCEQuality food as always at a reasonable price. Plenty of options to pick from. Steak was cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend a visit!!

Having avoided Miller & Carter previously as it’s a chain, I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The steak was perfectly cooked and the sauce had a deep, delicious taste. Well worth the price

Went a few times, usually went for Sirloin (medium rare) which was the cheaper option and it was always kind of chewy, but I suppose that is how Sirloins are. But then I tried the Ribeye (medium) and that was amazing! I love the onion+potato block you get with the steaks, but their chips are always underwhelming. I tried the chunky fries and they were a bit dry. Their starters are small but taste good. During special holidays, they are usually always full, so you have to wait to be seated (5 to 10 minutes).

Visited miller and carter The Hayes, Cardiff on 25th march. Was served by sash. Food was amazing as usual and sash gave outstanding service and was extremely knowledgeable around the menu. He was also very attentive when he discovered it was our silver wedding anniversary which was so lovely, a genuinely nice person and an asset to the team. Our chef was jack and every single part of our food was absolutely delicious so thanks to them both.

Staff always really friendly, happy to help and advise on wellness on the steak. Food has always been cooked to perfection every time I’ve visited. I’ll definitely be coming back again

We had the best experience and a lush evening! Our server Josh was super friendly and helpful and honestly was a total pleasure to be around ☺️ He really made our experience and wanted to make sure everything was perfect (he deserves a payrise 😉). We had the Dirty burger and Sirloin Steak cooked by Mark and they were INCREDIBLE, we ate until we physically couldn't move anymore because it was just to good to leave any. Highly recommended and will deffo be returning!

Steak was well presented and appeared large on size.Very disappointed that lobster and scallop side dishes were on the menu yet again unavailable.Serving staff also appeared inexperienced in their role and not our usual level of service.Prices increasingly high again as we have found at most Miller and Carter venues.
