Went to CIA so booked here due to the location - spot on, very central.Booked for 2 nights - check in very slow. Tried to charge us for breakfast even though we booked an executive suite. Wanted proof of booking even though app wasn't working.Got to our room on 19th floor... Took ages as only 2 elevators to service all guests and staff. Opened our room to find someone already in there! Back to the elevators to get back to reception where we were allocated a 20th floor room and breakfast for 2 days as an apology from manager Andrew (EVEN THOUGH IT'S COMPLEMENTARY FOR EXECUTIVE ROOMS!!)Off to the bar that was very stylish and had fantastic staff (hats off to Mark and Leo). Was offered an executive card from very nice lady who didn't drink draft or wine that gave these complimentary! Back off to reception to see why we weren't given one where manager Andrew laughed and said we may as well use the one we were gifted. All well and good but we had booked 2 nights and card was only valid for one night. It took the fantastic Sarah from restaurant and Duty Manager Sean to sort it all out for us the next day.We had panoramic city view room and it was perfect! Room was clean and well equipped, bed comfy and bathroom was SPARKLING.So even though first impressions were terrible, it only took a couple of brilliant employees to ensure we would definitely go back.

Great location, comfy beds and the hotel was clean. There is room for improvement…Our room was a little outdated and could do with a renovation. The hotel only had 2 lifts for 17 floors so the lift kept on stopping on all the floors before we reached the ground level.I enjoyed my stay overall.

Stayed for one night for a concert at the motorpoint arena. It was perfect distance to the arena however hotel room couldn’t look any further from similar to the pictures advertised. Was completely shocked with how bare the room was, it look like someone had ransacked the place beforehand. Curtains didn’t shut properly because they were broken. Bed was comfy and room was clean but probably won’t be returning. The sign to say the hotel car park was full was placed so far into pulling in that it cause myself and another car to have to reverse onto an extremely dangerous road. That being said, hotel staff were lovely.

Unfortunately our stay didn't get off to a great start as they had lost our booking. We had booked directly with the hotel and had an email to prove it. But we stood there for 25 minutes whilst the situation was resolved. Room was ok, large and reasonably comfortable, nice view, very quiet. We paid £10 per night extra for a superior room and it seems this is well worth it compared to our friends staying in standard rooms. Breakfast was good, but not great. Bar staff were friendly. Location is ok, although you feel you are in the middle of a construction site with all the building going on in the vicinity.

Nice room, bit shabby, needs a repaint. Very quiet. Car park from hell, dangerous, very difficult to turn round in, very few spaces, too tight for manoeuvres. Charged £25 for the privilege of a car park with dangerous shutters too. Lovely breakfast. Not four star hotell, three stars maximum. No info in room telling you what facilities the hotel has. Would not come herr again due to the parking situation even if a business was paying.

The hotel was excellent. The staff were so helpful. Andrew and Chaniece at reception helped our large group check in and they were kind and very helpful! Perfect location and 1 minute walk from the train station and the city centre. We stayed on floor 12 so the view was lovely and could see the whole city centre. Would 100% recommend to anyone and I look forward on coming back again.

Fantastic hotel, helpful staff, clean and tidy. One negative is the have dryers not working in the toilets and no towels available, shake and drip it is. Not really acceptable at this level. Other than that a pleasant experience.

I have stayed in Radisson Blu hotels throughout the world and this has been the worst by a long chalk. For €550 for two nights the hotel was simply not up to standard. Room 1100 was very poorly furnished. The wardrobe- if you could call it that - was small and pushed into a corner. There were no proper drawers to put anything away. There was one hanger. The bath stopper was missing and hence the bath was superfluous. The breakfast on Saturday was cold and uninviting. No sausages and a “gloop” which was supposed to be scrambled egg.The weekend stag and hen party groups ran riot in the corridors at 3am!There are many hotels in Cardiff- my advice would be to avoid this one.

There are around 25 car spaces at this hotel and £25 per 24hrs. It has a tight entrance and difficult exit. Good location to centre and train station. I got a disable room which isn't great without a bath and the bathroom is like a wet room with low sink. I changed my room. Breakfast is good with self service. The hallways to the rooms feels cheap and poor office ceilings. My new room was good with mini fridge, kettle and iron. Staff were good and professional. I think there is a gym.

My partner took me here for NYE and we asked for a high up room and they put us on the top floor which was lovely, we had a nice dinner in the restaurant too. The room was nice but could of done with a mirror at the table or somewhere near a socket to dry your your hair. We had asked what time breakfast was served until and the guy told us 11am, unfortunately no one told us it was 10am on the Monday, so we missed a breakfast my partner had paid in advance for. There are no signs anywhere noticeable either. There wasn't any information about the hotel in the room, just a menu for room service that didn't even tell you the number to order it on. We had a nice time and the views were lovely but for an expensive hotel it was a bit basic. Although the staff we did see were all friendly.
