Every time we come here we feel so welcome by all members of staff, in particular Ieuan, Michelle and Abbie. The tribute acts they have booked have been amazing. We have such a good time every time we come here. Food is lovely and the atmosphere is everything you would want in a pub/restaurant.

Had a lovely dinner for Fathers’ Day here! All staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially Ieuan and Michelle who took the time to chat with us and make our lunch feel special! The food was beautiful and served promptly, making our visit a breeze. Thank you all!

Absolutely fantastic.. we had friends visiting from Dubai and treated them to a meal (which was quick and hot) and then was entertained by the tribute act. So all in all had ball. Already booked for three more evenings.. the hosts of the pub were so polite and friendly. Already have recommended this to family and friends.

£8.55 for that!! I feel robbed, it’s not like it’s in London. Gluten free Peroni tastes like p***. Won’t be back.

Visited the Sandmartin today for a sunday carvery lunch. The food was absolutely excellent, meat was moist and tasty and the veg was cooked to perfection, the carrots and parsnips were the best we'd ever had at a carvery. Now for the staff. Michelle who served us drinks was an absolute delight, so friendly and helpful. And then the rest of the staff were kind and helpful with my parents who are both disabled, taking their plates to the table for them, we were all so touched by their kindness.5 stars.

Visited on a match day. Even so, food was below average though the carvery seemed better. Some staff very helpful but others clearly didn't want to be there. When the match finished some families with young children arrived who ran around unsupervised. The children's play area toys and amusement area was a no-go area. Expected better.

Still closing at10pm???? Someone needs to tell them that the covid restrictions on hospitality have been lifted. Only checked this site so I could book a taxi home, found out later it was 11pm. Had booked a table for 8 people for the Tom Jones tribute act, had a great night, great food, great staff, nice place and good act for a sing along. You need to put the correct opening and closing times so people don't get confused. We'll be back for the next night with a tribute act.

Very nice as always, we have been many times and have never second guessed going back. Great quality food and not overly priced. We have had the mixed grills, carveries and burgers and enjoyed them all.

1st time visiting we had some drinks and ordered a weekday carvery and a burger. Drinks were fine but the food was rubbish. Chewy gristle throughout a tasteless piece of beef and the cheapest fattest mince used for the burger I've ever experienced. It was greasy and again tasteless. Proper nasty burger, uneditable. Will not be returning here again.

Good pub with food. Large free car park. Very reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly. I had a carvery which was fine. Situated very near Cardiff City Stadium.
