Sequoias Restaurant @ The New House Country hotel in Cardiff

We recently got married at New House Country Hotel, and they help make it the best day ever. The whole process was so smooth and easy from initial contact, to menu tasting, to the actual day. We really couldn't have asked for more.Steve as Master of Ceremony and his team were great throughout and made the day run perfectly, they were so accommodating were needed and did everything they could to make our day perfect. They run a very well executed operation and you can tell they are experts in the process.The Hotel itself is stunning along with the wedding marquee, the food was delicious. We really could not have asked for more.

This is a superb place to stay set down a lane to where you drive up to beautiful views of the mountains on one side with the city directly in front with the sea behind that.rooms were very clean and spacious, the service was second to none the staff done a amazing job keeping everybody happy and going out off there way to help with no fuss at all. Breakfast was plentiful of choice. (This was a wedding event and guest spoke very highly of venue)would highly recommend for any occasion.

Work event on anti racism took place here. Lovely grounds and environment.The buffet was fantastic the amount if vegan and vegetarian options and choice. This is the best vegan buffet I have ever had. Even the vegan bacon and cheese wraps. Excellent would return.

Very posh and stylish. Not my cup of tea to be honest but fantastic place for weddings or other special events. Food was banging but not what I'm used to. However was nice for a change. Staff was friendly and polite. Think this place is a little out of my league when I'm used to the local rugby club. Would definitely recommend this place if you want to impress someone special.

Went with 2 friends 4 afternoon tea which was delicious😁It has a new covered area outside which was handy as it rained!I am disabled in a wheelchair& was able 2 get 2 table without too much trouble but no.disabled parking bay close!The view is nicest in whole of Cardiff!

Just celebrated my daughters wedding what a superb day wouderful venue what a perfect day staff went above and beyond to make my daughter's day special thank you very much

Didn't look around properly as attended for a funeral and was trying to keep alot of the hotel as a surprise as we have got our Son's and future Daughter in law's wedding there in the summer. Views are absolutely stunning.

Most of the room doors has a 2inch gap at the bottom ,it's not a wheelchair friendly hotel far from it, young staff not knowing what to do ,if you have a wedding it should only cater for around 80/100 people as we were like sardines no room to pass each table, food was cold very slow ,breakfast was standard ok would i recomend it ....only for the beautyful views .

Had the best overnight stay here on a Sunday evening to celebrate my birthday. A member of staff called Tom was very helpful, professional and courteous throughout our stay. The dining experience turned out to be just ourselves sat on a table by the fire which was a beautiful touch and very atmospheric. The hotel was stunning and so was its view overlooking Cardiff. I felt extremely lucky and the stay couldn’t have gone much better. Would definitely come back here again.

Terrible customer service. My daughter and fiance booked this hotel for there wedding night in June then to see on a Facebook page that the hotel do not accept brides from other venues. I understand this but surely there should be somewhere on there site or when booking they should of been made aware of this. So five months before the wedding they are not able to find a hotel at such short notice. Can you imagine the utter heartache on there wedding night if she was refused entry. It could of spoiled there whole day. Thank god someone mentioned this on a wedding site.
