Cocktails tasted lovely and great value with buy one get one free! Could do with a more thorough clean considering we got there just after it opened: the floors were super sticky despite the signs suggesting they had just been cleaned.

The only redeeming factor was our host Geraint. He tried his best to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for us even though he had to keep running off to help elsewhere as you were short staffed that night. We left him a tip for all his hard work.When we arrived the area had been set up and looked really good until we realised none of the measures had been washed. They were all extremely sticky and one of the measures had a dead fly stuck to the side! All of the cocktail shakers smelt like gone off milk. Everything had to be taken away to be washed which caused a delay.We'd given our food order two weeks prior but majority of the desserts were unavailable. So we had to take whatever was available at the time. As we'd given our food order in advance this shouldn't have been an issue. The food also took a very long time to come out which caused a delay in getting to our next venue we had booked - this lead to use losing the table as we'd been put down as a no show.We had to eat our meal in the same place we'd had the cocktail making class so it was extremely cramped as all the cocktail making stuff was still on this table.Overall, if it wasn't for our host I wouldn't have even given one star. The only good thing about the experience was our host. They were bubbly and friendly.We paid £400 for this experience, which is a lot of money, and we are VERY disappointed in the overall evening.

Absolutely gorgeous venue, Geraint makes the most amazing cocktails, gives great advice based on your preferred alcohol choice and mixers. Extremely welcoming and friendly. Always happy to take pics of his guests if he’s not too busy

Geraint was amazing! He made us feel so welcome and at ease!! I’ve not been out for s4 years on a night out and I couldn’t think of anything better to start me off!!! Thankyou so much!!!!

Not the greatest experience here in Cardiff. Now as an ex employee of stonegate I think standards have slipped. Wasn't too busy but yet staff ignoring customers. Lady served me this coke was to interested in talking to another member of staff at the middle of the bar paying no attention, guessing that is why ot was not filled. Bath slug and lettuce is so much better!

Out celebrating a birthday called in and took advantage of the 2 for 1 cocktails, recommended doing that.

Large group of us here for a meal. I enjoyed mine (bbq chicken) and had no issues but some people did say theirs wasn't hot and had to get it reheated, but had discount off the price due to this. Staff were very helpful. Big place and the toilets are downstairs. Lots of stairs. Pretty deco.

This was the worst dining experience I've ever had. I booked a table on the 1st May at 8pm for 2 people, to celebrate my friends birthday, which I informed the restaurant of when booking. We turned up at 8 to a restaurant that looked more like a roudy bar than a place to eat, and there was no one in sight to greet us/show us to our table. 10 minutes passed of us being completely ignored, so I ended up asking security what we were supposed to do, and they went and tracked down someone to see to us. So 15 minutes in we were shown to our table, no apology for the wait, and we were not told anything about changes to ordering etc (which became an issue). I've been here before so I knew we had to order via scanning a QR code on our table. After 15 minutes of catching up with my friend/ looking over the menu, we scanned the QR code and began to order. When It came to finalising my order, I tried to search and select my table number, but couldn't see it anywhere. After trying a couple of times to refresh the app, I then went over to see if I could talk to someone at the bar to get help. The bar was absolutely packed and I was waiting there a further 10 minutes to be seen just to ask about the ordering. When I managed to speak to someone, I told them I was having trouble ordering. They then informed me that the app wasn't working and we had to order at the bar. At this point I was upset, as no one informed us when seeing us to our table, and we'd been there for 40 minutes at this point without even ordering. I told the bar staff this and they didn't seem to care. I then went back to my table to get my friend, menu's for the food in hand. There was no area to order food in particular, so we had to queue with everyone ordering drinks. After waiting a further 15 minutes with no attention shown to us, I made eye contact with someone behind the bar and told them I wanted by deposit back and wanted to leave and we had been waiting almost an hour to even order. No and I mean No apology or explanation was made. They gave us the deposit back and we left. Nowhere else was able to give us a table as it was now 9pm, so we ended up celebrating my friends birthday in a KFC. The whole experience was a joke, we were shoved in the corner of the restaurant and forgotten about as the staff attended to their more important customers. This place is a disgrace. If I was you I'd look ANYWHERE else when planning to have a meal if you're there on the weekend in the evening. Thank you for ruining my friends birthday outing and leaving a bad taste in our mouths.

Great venue, convenient location and amazing service. I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional treatment, product knowledge and cocktail making skills of our bartender Geraint. Even though the place was busy, he made our night and ensured me and my group received the best treatment. Thank you to G, for making our visit such a unique experience! A real asset to the team!

Popped in for one drink before the train home, wasn’t really in a rush and we knew we had time for one or two drinks. Waited at the lesser crowded bit of the bar to be served and was greeted by a polite member of staff who asked us what we wanted. We couldn’t see a menu so she handed one to us and told us she would give us some time to decide what we wanted. We decided and were happy to wait as they were all rushed off their feet. We were then approached by another member of staff who was immediately confrontational and accused us of rolling our eyes at her for not serving us sooner and waiting in the quiet end of the bar. We were confused as we hadn’t even looked at her and were just talking amongst ourselves. We looked at her confused and asked her to repeat what she said. She said that both of us were rolling our eyes at her and if there was anything we wanted. We tried to explain ourselves before she walked off angrily and said have a good night in a sarcastic voice.We were then served by the original member of staff who apologised and provided excellent customer service. We cannot understand why this member of staff approached us in such a way. It’s not in our nature to do anything of the sort as we both work in stressful fast paced jobs and can appreciate the stress that the staff are under.
