The food was ok but was NOT spicy at all. If you don't like hot Indian food this is your place.

My go to Indian restaurant when in center of Cardiff. They do more traditional Indian dishes. My Madras could of been hotter in spice levels. Beer when waiting, Madras, bindi, pilau rice and naan bread for around £26. Nice decor and friendly staff.

We as a group of 6 people went there 2 days in a row (Saturday & Sunday )1st time we took our chances, but it paid off, place is nice and clean, service was good, staff were polite and friendly, BUT more importantly the food was excellent not spicy or oily at all, Nan and chapatis were cooked perfectly well.Highly recommend this place

Went here for a meal for two on a Saturday evening. We didn't pre-book, so it was nice to find somewhere with a table free. The menu seemed fairly limited, but was decent enough. Asked for a phaal and was told no, which is fine, not everywhere can do one on short notice. Settled on a Lamb Vindaloo, and a Lamb Pasanda for the better half. Food was brought fairly swiftly, in around 15 mins or so, which is fine considering the date and time of visit.Problems: the Vindaloo had zero spice (when I say zero, I'm being absolutely genuine). My partner cannot eat spicy food, and she had a mouthful and was amazed there was no heat at all. Oddly,, her Pasanda (which was also served as chicken, rather than the lamb we ordered) was spicy. Was slightly baffling. When I said to the waiter about the vindaloo having no spice at all - he said "yes, I know, sorry about that." So it must be a regular issue? Who knows.Anyway, the meat was decent, as was the rest of the food - chips slightly hard maybe, and rice Luke warm, but tasty enough nonetheless.18 minutes wait for the bill. Which seemed a long time - ended up going to the bar to pay in the end as it seemed like we'd never get it.All in all it was average at best, and I'm not much of a moaner. The restaurant was around two thirds full, so would be interesting to see what it'd have been like had it been ultra busy. Not saying don't go there, just be wary.

I have been here a couple of times and I have really enjoyed the ambience and the food. As we are students away from home, we crave for home food quiet a lot and this has been my go to place. I really like the lasooni naan with murg chilli as a main and the samosas for a starter. All the cocktails are really amazing. We need to really appreciate their presentation and hospitality.

Recently I have been to this restaurant for dinner, I was welcomed very nicely and given drinks and food menu. Firstly they have excellent listing of drinks and food where I have chosen cocktails which were amazing and later I ordered Ghost platter starter, Kashmiri Shank main and Garlic Naan, taste of these dishes are incredible with authentic Indian spice flavours in it and were of good in portion size and the service was excellent and everything was organized. I strongly recommend this restaurant for dine-in to the people who are looking for proper authentic Indian food and great customer service. Thank You Spice Quarter team for amazing experience

Lovely quite ambiance.food was delivered quickly. Starters were really tasty but the quality wasn’t worth price. The mains the chilli murg was good but the murg biriyani was okay.Lacked flavour and felt blanch.Overall not worth the price.

Gorgeous food and gorgeous drinks. Everything is freshly made and generous with the meat portions too. I had a butter chicken for main and it was lovely. The cocktails are also lush, especially the pina colada
