Very nice curry's wouldn't order curry anywhere else

Late order with 'Standard' for Valentines day with the Mrs turned out to be the best Korma i had in a few years. To top it off they wasn't shy putting a decent amount of chicken in it like a lot of other places i've been too (mowgli aka nadia) and the Peshwari Nan was'nt burnt or falling apart. The guy who took my order was friendly and even blessed us with a few extra pappadoms and advised us what we should order next time we come. Thankyou for putting my faith back in takeaways.

Often order a takeaway from Standard Balti on a Friday night. However, last night my meal (Chicken Biryani with chips) was very under rated and of poor quality. The rice and chicken was very dry. The chicken was very hard like it had been reheated in a microwave and over done. The. chips also gave me the impression they’d been reheated in a microwave as well. The sauce came in a aluminium container and was only half full. Making the meal even drier. If I was to asked to rate it out of 10, I’d have to give it a low 3.Sorry Standard Balti, you’ve got to up your game on quality otherwise you’ve lost this regular customer.

had a couple of takeaways from standard very nice curry very rich in flavours and also it can fill your belly very fast great satisfaction fresh dishes are always the best as iv been doing cooking courses for 3 years I would recommend standard to everybody :)

1st time ordering after seeing their 5 star food rating posted on their door. So v pleased to find a quality Indian. Chap taking the order is a delight to speak with. Well done.

I have been buying takeaways from here for over 30 years. I've tried other Indian takeaways since but never as good quality. I currently travel from Mountain Ash to buy, I can thoroughly recommend the lamb madras with onion salad, lamb spinach balti and chicken bhuna. The staff are always polite, the food is very competitively priced, the portions generous and the hygiene rating is excellent.

What can I say. Fantastic blend of flavours. Very tasty. Chap on the phone was very helpful in suggesting dishes to suit my food intolerances. Will be DEFINITELY ordering from them again.

I had a Chicken Vindaloo and Bombay Potato - the Potato was fine, nicely cooked, good texture and neither too wet, nor too dry. The Chicken on the other hand was dreadful. I have no idea which part of the chicken the meat came from but it appeared to have been ripped from the caracas, and it floated in a brown watery gloop. Visually it was repulsive, what it was reminiscent of was not appetising ,the taste was grim, to be fair it was not disgusting, but it was not nice.I will not be returning.
