Strada in Cardiff

Very good services and good dishes. I would like to visit again. Love it.

This is a nice Italian restaurant with some good views of Cardiff Bay area. We say "some" because it is all very dependent on where you are seated in the restaurant and how crowded the place is. When we visited, it was reasonably busy for this time and day, so we were allowed to sit at a table of our choice (we chose inside, rather than outside, as it was rather drizzly outside). The actual physical space is fairly tightly packed with tables and chairs, which does make manoeuvring with a mobility scooter rather challenging. However, it must be said that the waiter was very helpful, moved several chairs and allowed the mobility restricted person in our group to reach their intended seat. The ambience is friendly and relaxed. In terms of the food - we were very specific in what we ordered as one of us has several intolerances. To be honest, the kitchen did make a mistake in the order and we had to point that out. The dish was returned to the kitchen and then the correctly cooked dish came out. It is good that it is not food allergy, but food intolerance. In fairness to the waiter, he did apologise unreservedly and gave us the (now correct) dish for free (i.e. he took off the price for the dish off the final bill). Prices were a bit dear for the portion sizes we got - especially the starter! On another note, the toilets were easy to find and they were clean. The disabled toilet is next to the ladies and gents toilets, which is always nice, as it does not separate the disabled person (like in some restaurants, where the disabled toilets are on one floor and the ladies/gents on another, making the disabled person feel "the odd one out"). Overall, despite this being a "chain restaurant" (which can on some occasions bring down both the quality of the food and service) we did enjoy it and had a good time, we're happy to visit again and to recommend to others who are wondering where exactly to sit amongst the vast choice in the Cardiff Bay area.

The service was good. But the time it took for our food to come amounted to just over an hour. For a day where it wasn't busy, I was surprised! The food was low quality, cold, and definitely not value for money. We bared out our meal, but at the end, it took 20 mins to be served with 2 scoops of Ice Cream.

Don’t bother eating here. The food was served cold and a lack of taste. The customer service is disgusting, if you want to wait a hour for you food to come this the place to be. I would highly not recommend.

I'm really very fond of this place when you can sit outside. The good is very nice and using a taste card offer becomes very reasonable indeed. I find the inside echoes a little for my tastes and can get very noisy. It's probably got the best outdoor section in Cardiff bay with heaters and blankets for when the evening gets a bit more chilly

We have had a meal here today 2 adults and 3 children beautiful location. Reasonably priced, staff very friendly and helpful and good gluten free menu for my 2 coeliacs daughters.

Excellent Christmas menu and good price. Superb service and attentive staff - really enjoyed all courses which were excellent value for money. Panna Cotta to die for!

Food was cold. There was hair's in the food. The pizza was too hard and came unsliced. The lemonade was nice but not enough to make up for what it lacks in food quality. Overall rather disappointed with the food

We come here a lot, as we live locally, and we've never been disappointed. Good Italian food at a reasonable price, right in the heart of Cardiff Bay.

Food wise it's GREAT but the portion are so small that I ended up eating within 2 hours. It must be the 1st time I could finish a meal
