It was OK, fairly friendly staff but my food was overcooked and bland. Had a gourmet steak and it was tough and didn't have much taste, the jacket potato was dry and even though I was really hungry at the end of a long day of work I did not really enjoy the meal. For that reason I left straight after rather than having a few more drinks as I normally would. I think they must have known as nobody came over to ask if my food was OK. Disappointing

I would say this is the best Whetherspoon bar in Cardiff City. Easy to get serve whatever the occasion or event hoping on in the city. Friendly courteous staff and well presented food served hot and quickly. Nice beer garden split into smokers and non. I've spent the whole day there because it's that good.

Very rarely visit Cardiff but enjoyed the visit to the Central bar. Staff very friendly. The loss of 1 star was because the fish dish was not available but there was plenty of choice on the menu. Will definitely visit again.

Enjoyed a peaceful Sunday catch up here. Pleasant atmosphere, able to chat and hear, even though it was quite popularcat the time. Fab selection of ales. Attentive staff. Unlike many other Spoons even the toilets were in the same pub!

Substandard quality on the food and the service was shocking, wasn't that busy and yet took ages for food to come out and 40 minutes after ordering (food already eaten) the pint of orange juice I ordered still hasn't turned up.

This is what I'm looking for in terms of easy going eating fare. Cod is flaky and great portion. Chips are delicious. The cider is excellent. No pretense just good food.

Usually a great pub but my last 3 experiences have been pretty much terrible. Asked to get a table cleaned because it was pretty much horrid. Asked about 3 times and they said they'll get it sorted to no avail.Food and drink took more than half an hour at times and even then half the food was burnt anyway.Honestly avoid it at least for a few months and see if they improve. But for now it's a downward spiral.

What can you say another Witherspoon's. Menu what you would expect as per the franchise. This pub is a large spacious room not too crowded and room to move. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the product. A good evening was spent here.

Zero stars wasn't an option the waitress was very rude and could only clear my table one plate at a time. Half drunk hot chocolate is still keeping me company turns out he used to be dairy milk..

·

Absolutely awful food hygiene, ordered a pizza and a drink, the ice in the drink had dirt frozen into it, and the pizza was cold and had rice spilled on it. Definitely not a good sign for the hygiene standards in the kitchen. Lots of much nicer places to eat at similar prices in Cardiff
