This place deserves the praise it gets. The signature crispy duck is succulent and, well, crispy and the plum sauce is masterfully constituted. The stir fried soba is homely and very tasty, the chicken in it tender. The only shortcoming was the soft shell crab sushi roll. It came apart occasionally but the taste was on point. Not bad at all taking into consideration the family running the restaurant is actually from Malaysia. Regardless, the staff are attentive and very professional and the decor is plain but atmospheric. The music selection is also tasteful.

Cozy little restaurant, extensive menu options tasty food.

We ordered via Uber Eats. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, sweet and sour king prawn, crispy duck and Ramen with beef. We had the most awful food anyone can imagine. There was no sweet and sour sauce in chicken or prawns. It had horrible light brown sauce that had no taste. The batter on chicken or prawns was not crispy. The prawns balls had been over cooked and were really hard inside with no taste. Ramen noodles were tasteless and the watery sauce in a tub was disgusting. Chicken and king prawn dishes were bulked with loads and loads of large slices. All this food was not even appealing to the eye. Crispy Duck - never again

Lovely meal for a birthday, they brought a cake out which we didn't expect and was a lovely touch. Food was very tasty and fresh, good portions one main dish and then rice or noodles to share but we certainly left full. The host was very friendly and attentive, will definitely return.

Had a fantastic meal here with my brother. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was lovely. The atmosphere was also good.

The food was nice, there just wasn’t enough of it as the portions are small not really for sharing so not good value for money. Also the menu is confusing. You’d think from the name of the restaurant it is Chinese, but actually it’s a confusing mix of Japanese, Thai, Chinese and whatever! The service was good but I wouldn’t go back.

Ordered through a 3rd party delivery app, when our order arrived the main part of the order was missing.Called The Crispy Duck directly to see if they could do anything, but they were very reluctant to help us out. They told us it was included in the order, but there was no way it would fit in the bag that they put our order in.Ended up hanging up and only having half a meal, which was, very disappointing.Would not recommend!

Great food there, strong recommend! dine in few times and today I decided to have some takeaways, absolutely fantastic, as good as I had in restaurant. The Chicken katsu is delicious, juicy and crispy. Will definitely visit again!! Better to book a table before you go, it’s so busy there. 😂

Me and my partner came here end of September for our anniversary dinner. It was such a lovely evening at the Crispy Duck. We were running late but we made them aware so they were kind enough to keep our table. There was an excellent menu choice, and the service was spot on. You could tell that the food was cooked with care and a high quality, it was delicious. Thank you for your warm welcome, we can't wait to come back!
