The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Luckily we booked as it was very busy due to the 50% off main meals offer, hence a long queue for the carvery and a 10 minute wait.

Delicious food but had a 50 minute queue on a Wednesday lunchtime. Only had a single guy on the serving counter. They need more staff clearly. Maybe the pair of staff chatting at the entrance could help?

It was handy and welcome on a day of summer thunderstorms.Maybe 70% full, but served right away.Choice of 4 roast meats and good selection of veg. Everything was hot, fresh and very tasty.Deserts were a sundae for one of us and seasonal crumble for the other.Would happily return.

Dinner was ok. I went with my two children. I remember why we used to go to Toby carvery because it was value for your money, now its overpriced and the quality of the food is not as good plus the service chef side could do with a Happy pill. Little bit of an attitude, i didn't expect. Most servers are happy to serve you. I mentioned the plastic serving spoons were extremely hot and customers could not serve their food as it burnt your hands. He told us that there were napkins on the top of the counter. He didn't try to help just expected us to know. Potatoes were hard and for £11.99 i was disappointed. We ordered starter but took ages so we scrapped it. Think i will be cooking roast next sunday and saving myself the best part of £40.

Great, arrived with no reservation but were offered a table in the bar. Ordered drinks and paid for carvery. Queue was a bit long but staff were non stop, pure effort on their behalf. Tables were being cleared and cleaned everywhere, absolutely great service, great food and the staff were fantastic. Will definitely visit again, wanna try that bottomless breakfast!!

Always a good carvery, beef was excellent today. Reason I gave it 3 stars is because it always seems to be too hot and stuffy in the dining area, couldn't wait to get out. A member of staff did open one window a little bit but wasn't enough. Another customer had to open more

Was meant to collect two Too Good To Go bags from them between 9:00 and 9:15. Arrived around 9:05 to find the doors locked so I looked around to see if I was missing the main entrance (I wasn't) and while doing so I saw a table of what I presume was employees sat by the window. Several of them noticed me but none came out to check what I was there for (which I do understand having worked in similar workplaces, but it's a bit of a pisstake for them to take my money for a service and then completely fail to provide that service). I was only going to leave 3 stars but finding out they're meant to be open until 10 anyway is a bit ridiculous.

Update Jan 2022 - Friday night carveryStill 5 stars. Chloe our waitress was superb. Autism accommodated discreetly and food was still absolutely delicious! Excellent quality food.Upgrade to 5 stars.Visited Sunday and the carvery was delicious, well organised and fully stocked. Staff friendly. Well worth the money. We weren't rushed from our table. Clean, well lit and seems like it's the better of the Carverys in Cardiff. Would recommend. Asked for quiet table due to autism and they seated us perfectly well.

Yes it was lovely day as we had a group of us it catered for us all food was lovely deserts to die for yes we all had a lovely and will definitely book again. The only downside was no transport service via bus service outside the venue. think that needs looking into as the bus thats operating are not close enough .And people had to walk on dangerous roads! Hopfully this would be resolved im sure you would have bus loads attending if that was put into place .
