Aberglais Inn in Merthyr Tydfil

The food was delicious !Staff and locals were also lovely.

Managed to get a table here this evening. Very friendly and welcoming and the food just delicious. We were very happy. Although gutted we didn't have any space for dessert.

Great staff, very friendly and welcoming. Lovely food, the sticky toffee pudding and custard was stunning (highly recommend). Great place overall!

We went to the aberglais for a birthday celebration. I had heard alot of good things about it and when we arrived it was pretty busy with locals which is always a good sign. The staff were friendly and helpful, there was a good range of drinks and the food was Delicious! X

Excellent food, staff were brilliant, lovely atmosphere.

Went there for lunch with my 2 daughters and granddaughter we all ordered a drink and a main course all the food came out piping hot, except for my granddaughters cheese and ham sandwich it was all plentyful and was very tasty, would definitely go again. There was a bit of a wait, but then it was quite busy being a Saturday.

My wife took her mam there Easter Sunday. Booked 2.00pm arrived on time. Ordered food, purchased drinks. Food arrived 2.25pm. At 2.45 the table server ask could they leave as their time slot was up unfortunately they had booked a party of 17 and needed the table. On top of that staff decided to move tables around to acommadate 17. My wife was astonished she had just ordered drinks and just sat till finished. They left at 3.30pm. Who arranged a booking for 17 on a Easter Sunday. Myself I think it's shocking. They were happy to take the money. To many restaurants have sadly become money first and customer service second. I given 1 star for food only. A pub that don't respond to reviews that says all.

Steak was beautiful, as was my wife's pie. Portions were a really good size. The service was fantastic and very friendly. I will definitely be going back.

I had my birthday meal here yesterday . The food was outstanding the service was excellent and the prices were more than reasonable. Staff were very atentative . Would highly recommend a visit. Will be going back at the end of the month and am looking forward to it......Last post was 2 years ago. This time we went there is a new chef and they have a brand new menu. All i can say is wow. We all cleared our plates.( Apart from my mother in law who took her fish home as it was a large fish and she had it later)The food was hot and delicious, well presented and the portions were perfect we tried starters,sides and mains but as we had birthday cake we didn't try the deserts. Again the staff were so helpful and made it more perfect. This place is a must for anyone wanting a really good meal and great atmosphere.
