Frankie & Benny's New York Italian Restaurant & Bar in Merthyr Tydfil

I was impressed with how the quality of the food and drinks since I used to go regularly as a kid but it was much better than it was back then.Here is a rough guide of what I had if u fancied having dinner lunchtime instead of dinner time, BBQ Chicken Wrap that came with chip's and BBQ sauce, Cookie Dough with Mini Eggs and an Alcoholic free Martini which was really nice with the lunch.Keep up the great work guys, c u sometime soon. Great atmosphere for families as well as couples. service is second to none and food was amazing definitely recommend double bacon cheese burger. Very generous servings too. Staff were great and looked after us all evening.

We booked a table turned up a bit early which wasn't a problem. Ordered our food and the wait wasn't to bad considering how busy it was. Ordered dessert for the kids which we had to wait so long the kids were start to fall asleep. Our waitress was very good but the poor thing was doing everything and looked shattered

Had a take out and found this really long brown hair. Tried calling to discuss with the manager and asked us to take the meal back in. Bare in mind this was supposed to be a valentines meal to be delivered to our house. So not only have we got someone’s long hair in our meal, we’ve been asked to drive to the store to rectify.

We went last night (Saturday) and were fairly quickly shown to our booth and given a menu. However, it was ages until we managed to get somebody to take our order despite it just being only half full. Our drinks finally arrived after 45 minutes & the food arrived 1 hour after we arrived. We did try to order using their app but it said that our table number was invalid !The food was OK but when diners arrive somebody needs to take ownership of that table so that people are not left sitting around waiting. It would not be my choice to visit again as there are better options available in the area.

The service at this branch is consistently poor. Frequently feeling like I've been forgotten about after arrival, watching others getting served before me. Consistently waiting up to an hour to receive food when there are only 3/4 occupied tables. After 45 minutes someone came back to me to clarify my order. No apology for the delay. Shocking standards

Much better than it use to be, visited twice since lockdown, great food, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere and its far better than it previously was a few years ago when I first tried.I've had several dishes over the past year and the food quality is always high and consistent, seating is always comfortable with your own booth and as others have said the staff are amazing and friendly.Definitely would recommend now.

Great portion for a child's meal.Nduja meat balls delicious though the pasta sauce was weak. Chicken parmigiana sub was good.Very cold in the restaurant. Lovely waitress and good service.

Staff made room for mydelf snd my power chair st a loveky table. easy acces secure. Provided myself with a childs prtion of main meal without hesitation. Food hot wonderful. chicken, prawns and mushrooms with rigatoni.

Had a lovely time, food was great and the service was fabulous! Covid rules were well explained and we've never laughed so much with a server before. Thank you Katie for such an amazing time, and for my little happy bowl of orange!
