Enjoyed a good meal here. Was raining but stirring outside was all they had but it did the job. Food was good. Service was great, nice friendly waitress. Only took cash though which could have been a issue. Not that’s a normal thing though. Worth a stop if In the area.

I think this is a popular local pub. We were just driving through. The pub was fine but the toilet had no toilet paper and I’m not sure what’s going on with the lock. I almost had to call my husband to get me out of there.

Staff are extremely welcoming and friendly and the menu offers a wide verity of dishes without being over complex and 10 pages long.Food was very good, we were all shocked by the quantity of beef in the beef and ale pie and were very pleased with the portion sizes, and that goes for all 5 of us.We were lucky enough to get a table outside in the courtyard, it was a very nice day but the outdoor seating overhead sun shades were a nice touch.Steaks were all perfectly cooked as ordered and we were happy with the quality of the meat.Would definitely recommend and can't wait to go there again :)

Food was lovely but we did wait an hour and a half as they were so busy. No complaints on the food front though. We booked ahead based on people's suggestions on here and glad that we did. The staff were working really hard and were always polite, also trying to calm down the table of men next to us who were getting a bit excitable.I think they must have been understaffed but they tried their best and we appreciated it.Car park is pretty small so you may struggle to find a space to be prepared to take on the hill. It wasn't a problem for us but may be for others.

Great place to eat, large plates of food with a homely touch Real chips too which is hard to find these days. Staff are friendly and locals are too.

Lovely meal after mountain climb. Really friendly staff. Understandably busy and good atmosphere. Staff found us a table and got our food really quickly. Would 100% visit again and recommend.

Whilst stopping in Talgarth and the rain wasn't letting up so we took our Grandchildren to Vertigo indoor play zone, after we turned up to the Red Cow pub of the beaten track in Ponticill ( reccomend booking main meal times). The reviews were great, We were greeted by friendly staff and made room for our party of four, drinks order taken followed up with food order, i was pointed towards the stack burger and why not . The food came 20/30 minutes later with the portion sizes were just right, we finished all our meals but left no room for pudding but enjoyed our meal & time here. lovely pub an friendly staff, Many thanks Neil
