Gurkhar Corner in Monmouthshire

Collected a takeaway which we ordered online. I arrived early and was offered a free drink whilst they finished preparing the food. The dishes we had were tasty, the Choila chicken starter was excellent and will go on the list for repeat orders. Still trying to decide on the best Indian restaurant in the area, but Gurkha Corner is one of the candidates.

Amazing authentic Nepalese food. We stayed over the road for a couple of nights and found this place - the momos are perfect, the choila was so flavoursome, the lamb nettle curry is a recipe I want to find it was so good, and the salmon (no38!) was amazing. Highly recommended!!

This has to be one of the best Indian/ Nepalese restaurants I have had the pleasure of visiting.Quality of food was fresh homely also perfect in texture and flavourService was attentive without distractions friendly and courteousThe restaurant itself was roomy and comfortable, decorated with pictures of Gurkha soldiers, something the owner feels very proud about, and rightly so.I would recommend this place without hesitation, and most certainly be back again.Thank you.Lino Len

We came here for lunch, around 13:00. There was a half hour wait for the food, but we were made aware of that beforehand.The curry was absolutely delicious, cooked fresh and a large portion. Service was good and very attentive. Would definitely come here again!

Absolutely love this place it's one of our favourites stunning currys and everything else on the menu the nan bread is the best I've ever had by a country mile

It's always a pleasure visiting here! The staff are great and the food never disappoints. Last time I visited they remembered my order from 2016, and yes - I'll be ordering the nettle curry next time!!

The food was excellent and the service prompt. We had the chicken Kadai and Kerala chicken as well as a chilli and coriander naan bread. We thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Nicely decorated and staff are welcoming. The food is very well presented but a little lacking in the art of good cuisine. The portions are very good possibly too large.The nan was excellent. The potato and lentil cake was nice but exceptionally oily making it hard to finish.The salmon had a lovely mild sauce but was very overcooked so it was hard and tasteless.Both dishes had good ingredients but there was a lack of focus in preparation that should be avoidable on a quiet Sunday night.

Lovely restaurant, great location, probably the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered and stunning food. Will definitely come back!
