We went here last night 24th June 2022 after walking past many times as the food smells was fantastic. But it was very disappointing we had a poppadoms starter but some of the poppadoms where soft.Had a main meal biryani which was nice but came with no sauce.Tarkadaal I was gobsmacked as the portion size it was like a starter one spoon full it cost 4.95 it didn't even cover the biryani shocking 4 soft drinks 47.pounds well over priced will never return.

These guys managed to squeeze us in last night last minute. Service was fun and welcoming but food was disappointing. Tiny portions of side dishes of tarka dal and bindi bhagee the dal was something I had never seen before more vegetable than lentil and very overpriced. The portion sizes of side dishes were 2 spoonfuls only so how you can say your portions are larger than most baffles me. Would be nice to advise customers that there is a charge for the chutney tray and not just ask if you would like poppadoms

First time I tried the food at Indian Summer and OMG, the seasoning was spot on, the flavours were delightful and the portion sizes was the best around. I have tried them all in Monmouth and hands down this is the best. Highly recommended βββββ

Been a few times and the food is really slipping, heavily over seasoned and ingredients missing. Horrifically over priced for what you get. Totally complacent owner/management & chefs riding off previous success, such a shame.

Don't know what's happening lately. Food still fresh and high quality meat and great portions but it seems a lot less tasty than it used to be. Dishes have lost something, used to be the best about

If you want a varied menu and a friendly, modern atmosphere... this is the place. If you want to pay Β£4.50 for a (small !!) Pilau rice.... this is the place. If you want to be charged for the dips with your popadoms..... this is the place.... It's bring your own drinks so it works out in the end

Visited last night with friends, rushed in and out, bland and over priced. The food had far too much colouring. A chapitti should never cost Β£3.75, it is just supposed to be chapatti flour and water in its basic form.

Very nice restaurant, friendly service fabulous food, probably the best we have had.The onion bahjis nice and crisp, good size portions in the curry lots of flavour perfectly seasoned.Sadly as we are visiting the area I won't be able to partake of the food here on a regular basis, will definitely recommend, it is tucked out of the way, because of this, they work very hard to maintain an excellent service and standard well done they work very hard to make what they do appear effortless
