Jewel Balti in Monmouthshire

Reasonable priced curry and a pint on a Sunday evening. Staff don't rush you. It was all at the slow pace that I like. Starters. 2 mains and a fresh nan bread. I wasn't bloated like you are in places where they pack it out with cheap fillers.My advice is try everywhere. Thanks guys.

Fantastic Indian food. The plain naan is the best I've ever had. Not a cheap night, but well worth it for a treat. Plenty of meat, good lager, great menu, excellent staff. I used to use another Indian restaurant across town (we are spoilt in Monmouth) but not any more. As good as any curry house I've ever eaten in.

OVERPRICED BEER, SO ALCOHOLICS BEWARE, Your dole money will evaporate into thin air, by the you finished your first pint. Overall the restaurant is clean and tidy, staff are smart and professional. Food is not bad, and alright location.

Food quality good but portion size small and wait time was around 45-60 mins from order, had to wait 15-20 mins just to take the order. Staff polite and friendly but seemed overrun by takeaway orders

Absolutely stunning food !!! Best Indian food I've eaten for a very long time. So good, I actually rang up and asked the manager to thank the chef.

What a lovely Indian restaurant/ takeaway. Booked a table when we arrived we was taken straight to our table, staff was friendly and helpful smartly dressed as you would expect and food was great one jf the best I have had in a long time would definitely recommend and we will go back.

The first thing about Jewel Balti is that the food,when it comes, is top class. I have to follow up by saying that it was good that I and my friend were not in a hurry as from entering the restaurant to receiving our Mains,it was one hour fifty minutes,so simply not acceptable. The room we asked to wait in on arrival was for Dine In and Take Out customers,odd from the COVID regs point of view, quite a number there and close.We made it clear we were eating in and were asked to wait. After waiting 25 minutes, I asked someone else and we were immediately shown to a table. The rest in note form to save space...20 minute wait. Would we like drinks (2 waters requested.Another 20 minutes. Would we like to order drinks and meal together? Yes. We were told someone would come.About 15 minutes later. Told someone would be coming.Another 15, orders taken.20 minutes later, meals arrive. Still no drinks. Would we like drinks ? Yes please, thirsty by this time so jug of water requested.10 minutes later, iron billy can is brought from kitchen with glasses.Would we like dessert? No, just tea please.10 minutes later 2 teas arrive with largish milk pot containing, sugar.5 minutes later, we ask if they can please bring milk. Answer is that they have noneQuestion. Why serve the tea? My friend says we'll be ok without so we have tea without milk. They did however bring the usual mints at the end.Would I return? Only with bags of time and good company yes. Food is top shelf.

Fabulous!We looked online for this restaurant and having chatted with some people locally knew that it was going to be good. Really excellent service and superb food, vegetarian and gluten free too! The chef is great and the tastes were just out of this world as can only be experienced by eating here yourself. Worth a visit and allow the chef or the owner to recommend a dish for you. We will be back again. 5 STARS from us both.

Ours kids were a bit of a pain but they were so helpful. We decided to leave half way and they were amazing. I don't like Indian food that much and I loved everything I ordered!
