Kings Arms Hotel Restaurant in Monmouthshire

Great place to stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are well appointed. The only small issue due to the hotels age (1660) is the noise from the creaking floorboards and single glazed windows.

Came for a few drinks and dinner. Great selection of drinks - in particular alcohol free options. Food was lovely - particularly recommend the sea bass. Friendly and attentive staff and had games/cards behind the bar. Will be back when next in town!

Lovely old world pub. Great function room at the back, however, I think they should put the tables around the edge of the main room and the bands where the tables are at the moment, that way you could actually see the band when they are playing. I've not stayed there or seen the bedrooms.

Travelled to Abergavenny to watch Wales & England rugby yesterday to meet our welsh friends. Can I say great staff and excellent service all day. Food delicious. Definitely recommend.

Lovely original pub with some modern adaptations. Keeps it character well and has good clean rooms to stay. Nice breakfast and good price. Exactly what you need after a day on the hill

This was the third visit for us. A warm and friendly welcome. Spacious, clean and comfortable room. The breakfast was very good, ordered the night before and freshly cooked. Would definitely recommend.

Top tier pub for food and drinks. A traditional feel with some modern fittings. Great for a night out with Friends as there's a large area at the rear for large parties and dances. Busy, clean and covid prepared.

My husband and I stayed for three nights with our dog in room 11 - room is right in the rafters with a free standing tub! Very romantic. Proper ground coffee and cafetière provided in the room.The room is difficult to access so wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with restricted mobility. The room gets very hot but there are plenty of fans provided and a dehumidifier.The pub has live music in the early evenings and we sat in the bath with a glass of wine singing along!Excellent location and parking is free in castle meadows (apart from Tuesdays).The breakfasts were amazing - excellent quality, cooked perfectly and friendly service. We didn’t eat in the pub as we wanted to explore the town, but the food looked excellent and they were always busy which is a good sign!We will definitely stay again. We loved Abergavenny.

Great stay with family. Staff very helpful friendly and welcoming. Building itself very rustic and quirky, but with modern and exceptionally clean rooms with complimentary water, tea and coffe as well as hot chocolate. On the Bank Holiday their restaurant was closed, however they called shortly after we booked room to let us know about it and offered to make reservation on our behalf in one of the surrounding restaurants. Even though hotel doesn't have dedicated parking there is plenty awailable right across the road for a small fee. We paid £2.40 from 17.00 to 11.00 next morning (on bank holiday). The town is breathtaking and really clean all around. Beautiful landmarks to see within short walking distance. Breakfast was included with the stay in the hotel and was great, several choices offered including English breakfast. They asked us to fill out breakfast choice the night before and let them know what time we would prefer it, the table was ready and hot breakfast on it within about 10min of our arrival. Our 11 year old and 8 year old boys loved the stay and the walk around the town. We wish we had planned to have longer stay in this town and it is very likely we will try to visit it again in a future for a long weekend, this time so that we can explore more of it. Highly recommended.
