Kings Head in Monmouthshire

We were a bit lost. Stopped for a cup of coffee, and received a warm welcome. Doggy friendly. The food we saw being served looked and smelt delicious. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I can't believe the awful service my grandparents received from owner and waiting staff after chosing here to celebrate their wedding anniversary! After Covid and a lot of ill health this was the 1st time they were able to get out for a long time and were made to feel unwelcome due to issues with voucher distribution on the owners& his staff teams part. Although voucher was honoured they should have never been put through the experience you decided was appropriate for an elderly couple on the day and as a regular customer of urs I will never set foot in your establishment again.

Very good food, decent portions at good value.Friendly quick service.Stayed locally for a few days and paid a second visit.

Went for a family get together /dinner, food was of a reasonable standard, quantity good, service can be improved, young staff but with extra training /experience can go on to raise the bar so to speak, wish them well.

I met some old colleagues here a few weeks ago. I only had starters, Whitebait. They were so tasty and a large portion. The altered area on the right was ideal and we had a smashing afternoon.

Felt a bit let down but overall a good meal. We ordered 2 medium sirloins and some garlic bread as a side order. Food came really quickly, but it turned out the one steak was cooked more towards medium rare and the other totally well done. The staff were clearly rushed off their feet and I didn't get a chance to let them know. We were told twice our garlic bread was on its way but after we'd finished our meals I said we no longer wanted it. Would go back as it's the king's head! But would hope for a better experience next time.

Lovely friendly landlord welcomed us in. All the staff were great. Really old traditional pub. Great decor, I love old guns and farming equipment on the walls in pubs, lots to look at. Large roaring open fire. We are planning to move to Wales in the next few years and going to this pub definitely made me feel like I could be very happy living in usk!

Went for New Year's Eve. Food as excellent and always. Portions where great, staff really helpful even with the 2 little ones we had with us. Was made to feel welcome, which some pubs don't seem to with young families.

Lovely food and amazing atmosphere!!! Tried the lasagna and was soooo good. Did notice they love their cheese! Ha ha ha also recommend their chips!! X

Very welcoming. Table service - waitress had to go back to the bar a couple of times to check what beers and ciders were being served, but otherwise very good.
