Went for takeaway, was a little disappointed with the food if I'm honest my sausage didn't taste nice and chips weren't the best. My daughter had a kids meal deal but never received it.

This is a good old fashioned sort of place. Nothing is expensive and they have reduced rates for senior citizen's meals. They no longer offer cooked breakfast, which is regrettable because it was always freshly prepared with good ingredients. However, if you like traditional fish, chips and mushy peas, sausage , egg and chips etc... this is the place for you. Food is good, portion sizes are never meagre and the service is quick....always great when you're hungry! Good location right next to the Market Hall.

Great service, perfect meal, we agreed the best fish and chips we have ever had. Topped of a great few days away with the other half. Fully recommend. Can't wait to revisit.

Great fish but the chips were a little soggy.We went for large cod and the pieces were a good size, cooked well but still firm, and covered in moderately thick, crispy, tasty batter.The chips were a little bit soggy for my taste.Next time I come I will ask if it is possible to cook the chips so they are a bit crispier.
