Raglan Garden Centre Ltd in Monmouthshire

Dog friendly around garden area.Restaurant has very small inside space for dogs to sit.Not all staff are friendly towards dogs, comments quietly said, some other staff are good.Very overpriced sandwiches, with little care given to how they are presented.

Big queues quite slow service due to staff shortage. Sunday lunch looked good but they were not serving it at the time. We were not given the option of ordering it either.

We enjoyed a very good lunch. The Chargrilled chicken caesar salad was outstanding. Generous portion of Fish and chips.

Popped in today for a light lunch.Leek & Potato Soup was pretty darn good folks it has to be said.Superb tasting,great presentation.Thank you Sugarloaf Team & Well Done.👍

Arrived at the cafe at 11:10, the cafe clearly notes that breakfast is served until 11:15. As I was perusing the breakfast menu on display at the counter, it was swiftly pulled away saying they are no longer serving. No alternative could be given, and the manner and terse response from the front of house was very rude. Sadly, I won’t be visiting again.

Nice surroundings and kept very clean, enjoyed the fayre on offer, prices are slightly above average and is a popular venue for lunch, which is the only downside, from ordering to presentation took 35mins, quite a wait when you're hungry! My advice - get in early 😉

Well where can I begin?i have been coming to raglan garden centre for many years and stopped visiting when wyevale took over as the food had lost its appeal.but after hearing good things about the restaurant I decided to give it another go and all I can say is wow the food was far better then any restaurant in the surrounding areas and we have been to them all, we could not believe the quality of food that came out of that kitchen!! It was like we was at a fine dining restaurant.It’s Amazing to have somewhere like this on the area again and let me tell you something we will be spreading the word even more to allOur friends and family whoever is behind this magnificent change must be a magicianWe cannot praise the staff enougheven the customer service was amazing with a very friendly welcomeGlad to see the restaurant returning to its former gloryMany thanks Archie

Just had a lovely lunch at Sugarloaf. Best Ploughman's I've EVER had. Lovely bread and cheese. Yum 😋Only drawback was the queue to order but it was worth it.Very child- friendly too.

Had the best pie of my life today at the sugarloaf restaurant and let me tell you I have eaten a lot of pies in my time LOL! lamb and mint flavour with nice fresh greens and the nicest red wine sauce (may I add that also was the best I have ever tasted) and creamed mash, On my next visit I Am definitely going to have the fish as it looked incredible going out!!!Chefs all acting professional and kitchen seemedTo be running like clockwork nice to hear them communicating about the orders with the guy at the front in the black jacket saying check on and then reading out the order & then yes chef like we see on the television, it’s nice to see and it gave our first garden centre visit that little bit extra!also may I add it’s nice to see good practices going on and a very clean kitchen as it’s so open and everything is in view especially when queuing so that was good and a little bonus we got to see the fish going out 😀I have seen a lot of open kitchens and they have not all been good so that’s what made me notice and make a comment on thisWe can’t wait to return to the sugarloaf restaurantit was actually our neighbours who told us about your restaurant and how amazing the food is so they recommended yourselves as we were stuck where to go, so we thought we’d give you a try as we usually eat in Gastropubs and hotels it was our first time eating at a garden centre but every little element today all added up to a perfect visit brilliant value for money we would usually pay double the price for half the quality but today we paid half the price for double the qualityCan I make a special mention to the lady called Lisa who was very smiley and chatty serving us our food she is a credit to the restaurantI didn’t get the other 2 ladies names but they did a fab job too!!We will see you very soon for that fish
