We had Sunday lunch at this lovely pub, formerly the Royal George. All four of us had different main courses. All were excellent. As were the desserts. Service first class too. Highly recommended.

Lovely setting. We went to the cafe/tearoom. Great that it accepts dogs which we appreciate. The atmosphere was nice. Rather ungenerous cakes for the price and although tasty, not at all outstanding.

Booked a table for lunch at the weekend after traveling to see family members for a birthday surprise. They live not too far away so chose the restaurant. What a fantastic choice. The people were very friendly and helpful when we parked up and prepared for the surprise. The food choice was wide and everything we had was excellent. The Welsh rarebit, ploughman's, gammon - all were really tasty. The service was excellent, but all the staff were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely go there again when we visit the area. May also try and stay there next time. Thoroughly recommended

Stayed 2 nights at the hotel and everything was perfect. The room was very comfortable and recently decorated. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant was amazing. Professional and friendly staff. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Perfect place to do some walks.

Had an amazing experience at the Wild Hare. Celebrating a birthday, we were made extremely welcome and fantastic service provided by Olivia. She was a real gem. Food was beautiful especially the starters and Truffle fries. Cocktails were stunning. All in all great place to go and enjoy an evening out.. Go on treat yourself..

Excellent location, lovely receptionist, good clean spacious rooms only to be let down by the dining experience which was well below par. Slow impersonal evening service and mediocre food. I had a tough steak that bled out on the plate. As it was a rib eye I asked for it medium rare but received it rare. The burger was flavourless, dry and hard. For the record we didn't complain at the time because we didn't want to totally spoil our birthday weekend mood. On a positive note the special steak & ale pie was good. Breakfast first morning was AOK but second morning was poor. Overall an inconsistent offering. The dining room itself was so noisy that we couldn't have a relaxed conversation. The 'lounge' on the other hand had a far better ambience. And yes I do understand that Covid has made life difficult but I don't believe it was a major factor in this case. All four of us felt the same about our experience and we won't be back.

Great place for food and drink after a walk in Wye Valley. They have a hose outside for rinsing down boots and dogs but bring your own towels.Great staff, selection of beers and small menu but everything that came out was how I expected it to be.Will stop in there again when in the area.

Love this place. Warm, friendly, clean. The coffee shop is fantastic. Best staff ever serving the best coffee, cake and food. We love this place and stop in every time we are passing.

Fantastic lunch with my father in law. Warm and friendly welcome, interesting menu and well cooked food. We recommend the haddock risotto and beef & ale pie with mash and seasonal vegetables. Sadly too full for dessert. A lovely post-Christmas treat!

I have to say this was a really lovely place. The decor was beautiful, the staff super friendly and welcoming. Although the menu was small they had taken traditional pub grub and made it À la cart. Presented beautifully, with plenty of flavour and perfect sized portions. We all agreed the Shepard’s pie was the best we had ever had, packed full of succulent lamb. Welcoming dogs was an added bonus and knowing we had two dogs in our party they gave us a table which had plenty of space. Thank you, it was a pleasure to dine out, treated to amazing smiles and wonderful food.
