Decided to try Towngate for a change, so glad i did. Food was better, twice as much and cheaper! Plus the staff were very friendly and helpful, not like this place!

Worst Chinese I've ever had. First time we ate here it was horrendous but it was a bank holiday Friday so we put it down to them being really busy, today we decided to give them another go...... Absolutely SH!T no other way of putting it. All the "food" went to the bin. All 3 dishes bland, the rice dry, salt and pepper chips that was plain uncooked chips with raw onion and pepper and the Noddle dish bland served with "meat"🤢. Don't waste your money and spare you taste buds by avoiding this place. We will be from now on!

I WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK! I ordered by phone only to arrive and find that my order had been given to someone else, okay but then they phoned the person asked them to return my order and expected me to then take that food!! Besides Health and Safety issues why in god name would I want food that someone else has taken only to return it!!I will be reporting them to health and safety standards!! Plus looked at the online menu as I was ordering from work to pick up on my way home. Unfortunately the online menu prices are a lot less then the actual price. I ordered chicken chow main £6.40 (online price £5.90) sweet & sour chicken balls £6.30 (online £5.80) satay sauce £2.80 (online £2.50) fried rice £3.90 (online £3.40) boiled rice £3.70 (online £3.20)

After trying this Chinese once I was heart set on going back the next night . My opinion soon changed after making that call to order several different prices just for small chips and sweet and sour chicken balls with curry sauce not sweet and sour sauce . My pet hate is someone messing with my food or messing me about during ordering my food not bad food but over priced and didn’t know what to charge me the second night so I decided to give town gate a try loverly food and it cost £7.19 not £14 £11 or £9.80 so town gate won me over by price / customer service and quality of food

Boy on the counter could only managed to say two words in response from me asking 5 questions about the menu. Food was expensive, small portions and bland. Up your game Sing Lee.

Once one of the best Chinese in town, now prices have gone up above all others in Town, and food quality gone down, such a shame.

I had sweet an sour chicken balls an chicken curry an the meat wasn't chicken it tastes bland an no texture like real chicken meat that was a waste of money I ended up throwing it out . I'd avoids it I rather go town gate the food there is amazingly value for money .

Went in this evening, asked for a tray meal- chicken balls, egg fried rice and sweet and sour sauce. I specifically said to the boy behind the counter that I didnt want chips with it because chips from a chinese is always horrible. He must of forgot to say so I've got home and my tray is practically all chips, with 3 chicken balls that are drier than gandis flip flop and all the sauce is on the chips and not on the rice.So overall I have dry rice, dry balls and minging chips I specifically didnt want. The only good thing this evening is my can of pop 🙄

Just ordered from here from the first time after moving from Monmouth and I have to say this I the worst Chinese I’ve ever had. I asked for special fried rice and it was basically boiled rice with the type of meat you would expect on top. Bland and a complete waste of money! All I’m saying is if anyone thinks this is a good Chinese, they haven’t got a clue what a good Chinese is! I would rather travel to brynmawr and go to golden palace
