The Bayleaf in Monmouthshire

Absolutely fabulous food, so fresh and delicious. Very attentive staff. Would definately recommend as food was fantastic.

I was disappointed I hadn't been for a few years and used to think it was the best in the area. I had chicken Biriyani but it was pretty tasteless & far too much. The veg curry with it was almost all green beans too. I remembered it being so good so a shame & it was my Birthday too glad I had gone to London prior weekend to celebrate! I'm not sure I'll go back although staff were lovely and restaurant decor all very tasteful.

Was greeted promptly. Absolutely amazing atmosphere and our waiter was amazing all night. Will be returning soon as possible. Portions are good. And freshly cooked. Loved it

Amazing food, attentive staff and reasonable price. Plenty of parking just opposite in the car park. Reccommend the white fish jhoo as an alternative to meat. Medium heat and coconut rice. Gorgeous.

Our first visit, every box ticked, excellent food, and plenty of it, good atmosphere, and friendly staff. The restaurant is bright and very comfortable, with soft music just loud enough to allow you to talk without raising your voice. The food was absolutely delicious, and we never felt hurried at any point, with enough time between courses. If I could give 100 stars it might just be enough. Would I recommend this restaurant? In a heartbeat! Looking forward to another visit already!

Cant rate this place enough. They accomodated 10 of us at short notice.Welcoming and polite. Food was one of the best ive had, no complaints from the group. We were allowed to take in a birthday cake and they couldnt do enough to help with it.All in all, i highly recommend this restaurant. You wont be disappointed.Thankyou to you all at the Bayleaf xx

Yesterday we went to the restaurant to have door. I ordered a lamb korma, although a simple meal I use this as a baseline with Indian restaurants.The food was lukewarm, korma was poor in the flavour and texture, I ordered coke and it was flat as a pancake and others in the table all said the same …flat.When the bill arrived they charge more than the menu price adding up to 50p on some items, and bill did not allow splitting for example drinks were out down as one item.I woke up twice last night being sick. I put it down to the food.Don’t think I will go back here again

Lovely first visit, very enjoyable and the staff were nicely welcoming. We enjoyed delicious food amongst lovely decor. Good, pleasant service was had and we will be making repeat visits. Highly recommended.

Food was ok, portion sizes were decent. The big thing that let it down was the waiting time for delivery. We ordered at 7pm, finally got the food delivered at 9.45pm after many calls and reassurances that it was in the kitchen... would avoid if you want your food at a reasonable time!Edit - Spoke to the restaurant on the night, offered to add extra items in on our future orders, we said this was pointless as we were visiting for the weekend and stated that our order was still in the kitchen...
