Great location along the Wye river. Nice pub that allows dogs as long as they are on leashes. You can stay inside, or outside either along the river or magical terraced gardens leading up to a rock face waterfall! An idyllic spot to while away on an afternoon.

Expected much more, from the reviews. It was a new lunch menu, a return to everything in a basket. The fish fingers were literal, birds eye. The plowmans lunch had a lot of items missing, discovered as we saw another on the way to pay. Complained and had £2 taken off the bill. A shame as the location was good.

Authentic old pub, right on the riverbank, serving great ales, ciders and food. Small inside but plenty of outdoor seating. Park your car in England, walk over the old railway bridge and indulge yourself in Wales.

We loved this perfect country pub, just over a foot bridge across the Wye. Ideal location and really good food. Great place to celibrate finishing one of the many walks near here.

We stopped for a quick lunch in the Boat inn. The food was amazing. Fish platter and Welsh rarebit on sourdough bread, I would highly recommend. Beautiful scenery, welcoming staff and tasty food.

Stopped in for a beer on a winter walk with the dogs.Astonishingly good pint of HPA straight from the barrel, served by excellent, friendly staff. It was so good we had to have three.Proper good pub, not tried the food yet but it smelled great.

The food here was really nice, great quality! I only wish we had known how small the pub is as there’s only a handful of tables so we waited outside for about 40 mins waiting for a free table. As it was busy for the pub the food was a 40 minute wait unfortunately. A rather small menu, but we all enjoyed what we ordered!

I absolutely love The Boat. It's my very favourite pub. Delicious, no-nonsense, hearty food, cosy inside in winter, glorious and special terraced waterfall garden to sit in in summer. Perfect place

Lovely little pub, so welcoming and super dog friendly. Visited for dinner and had an amazing local pie, the owners were really friendly, we just wish we lived nearer so we could visit more. Will definitely be back soon. Gorgeous location.
