Great food and atmosphere! I liked that there was a wide range of seating area.I ordered from my table easily using the QR code on the menu. The service was quick and staff checked up on me to make sure that everything was to my liking. The food was cooked perfectly. Delightful golden chips and the burger was well cooked but without compromising on taste. I'll definitely be coming again. Thank you for a great lunch. :)

Used to get decent food and service here but not today. Food was very slow to come out and when it did it was cold. About half way through the breakfast the people I was with noticed they had hash browns missing and asked for them. They refused to give us the hash browns because we was half way through the meal and could have eaten them. Food and service was very poor this morning.

The staff and food are faultless. The evenings have a much more friendly clientele. Took our little 1 in the daytime and there were a lot of hostile blue rinses openly glaring at her bursts of happiness and joy. She isn't loud or misbehaved, just likes to wave and say hello and chat to us excitedly about everything around her. So if you don't want to feel like you're sat in God's waiting room for deliverance, I'd visit a bit later in the evening if you have small children. Stunning food 😋

Typical Wetherspoons. Friendly staff, a decent local beer - Rhymney Gold- and value for money food. I ate here all nights but one, rather than the chain restaurant next to the Premier Inn where I was staying. Would have had breakfasts here as well but the daytime local car park charges ( not applicable after 6 p.m.)made it that more expensive.

Ordered at bar, straight forward. No hot chocolate in the hot drink machine so waited for that to be topped up.Food came in a reasonable time but why is everything you order to eat luke warm?Hadn't eaten her for a while but was hoping this problem had been resolved. My muffin for my eggs benedict looked as if it hadn't even been toasted.Four meals ordered and four meals luke warm.wont be returning.

Typical Weatherspoon, great value and large premises. This one was done up a couple of years ago that significantly improved the acoustics making it more comfortable. There is plenty of seating and they take plenty of precautions with regard to COVID-19.

The first negative review of any wetherspoons ive ever been to, more than half the menu was unavailable, when we finally ordered on the App they had forgotten our drinks, the staff were unbelievably rude and frustrated, practically threw the food on the table and forgot to hand us the cutlery.None of the tables were clean or wiped down, no care about any of the COVID rules, everything appeared chaotic and disorganised.Tables were absolutely filthy we had to eat with other peoples left overs, dirty plates and drinks on our table for 45 minutes before a staff member cleared the table. They have CCTV pointing at the urinals in the men's toilets which I wasn't aware was allowed and a little creepy to be honest.Whether they were understaffed having a bad day? I don't know we've never had a bad experience in any whetherspoons until now which is a shame, we felt so uncomfortable we had to leave after being made to feel unwelcome, but we found a lovely little pub across the way called Hen & Chickens which we were made to feel very welcome which rectified the night.I don't think we will go back to this wetherpsoons again, not that they are all the same as we've always had a great experience in all of them until we visited Abergavenny.

For a Wetherspoons you can't complain. We stopped here for food before going out out. I have burger and chips and to be honest I couldn't fault it. The food was hot and well cooked. The chips were crispy and nice. Well done.

Very clean, COVID compliance, polite staff, food good, beautiful building. Don't like that there is CCTV in the bathroom toward urinals though! Bit weird!

Atypical spoons but access can be bit fraught as the stairs to the bar area and the toilets are awkward, there is a disabled access platform, we just carried the prams up to the bar area .The normal selection of beers, food is as expected in the spoons staff very polite and courteous we will be using this establishment again.
