Stopped here for lunch with no booking on our way back from Raglan Castle to London. A cute little pub, albeit a bit dated in terms of decor, with a big menu! So many options, although the menu there did not match the one on the website, either in content or in price. I suspect that they changed their menu and raised their costs since they last updated their page. But the food was delicious and the portions were great. There was also ample parking. Would recommend!

I was here as part of a fairly small wedding party, so it was family and friends of each of the couple. The place is a nice looking country Inn.The service was fairly normal for the type of place. The prices were generally OK, but probably rather high considering the standard of the food. I had a trio of fish with fairly usual vegetables and potatoes. The fish was a bit dry, but maybe as to be expected when trying to get multiple different choices out at roughly the same time. The portion sizes for the fish were very small, but there was plenty of the accompaniments. I would have preferred it the other way around.I imagine (and hope) that if it were a couple, or small party, eating a la carte, the impression might have been a bit more positive. We ate early afternoon in mid week, and there were plenty of other customers. We were placed in a fairly self contained space, and there were other spaces for other diners.I have marked the place as 3 stars (average), but that is due to the constraints of the available options. It was very close between 3 stars or 4, but in my experience, people usually mark higher than is warranted.

On a Very Busy Sunday our group of 5 thought we would have a long wait for our food, but how wrong was I.....We didn't have to wait long. The young waitresses were polite and took Covid Regs seriously so we were all safe. Roast was gorgeous with a good selection of vegetables. We had Irish coffee after our sweet and they too were made to perfection. Will certainly return
