Only stopped for a pint mid-walk, but place was beautiful and friendly, serving a good pint.

What an amazing pub. Attentive staff could not do enough for us and the place is dog friendly. We truly had the best Sunday Roast ever at the Hunters Moon. We went back later in the week, sometimes a mistake, but again we all had a wonderful meal and the staff were lovely, so not a fluke the first time!! Must try the Wild Bore Sausages - they were amazing... We will be back when we next visit this lovely part of Wales.

We hadn't driven out to the Hunters Moon since well before lockdown, but went for a meal last night. I had forgotten how much I like the pub, and we had a lovely meal. Nice choice of menu, all local produce (fabulous wild boar sausages) and friendly service. Good value too. We will certainly be back again.

Very friendly welcome from regulars and staff. Well kept beer and great food including Goat Curry, lovely to find something a bit different from the usual pub menu using local ingredients.

Superb Sunday Lunch at this fab pub. Choice of locally sourced spring lamb, beef and pork as well as a nut roast for our veggie in the group - all came with Yorkshire pud, lovely roasties, veggies and gravy. This is a great pub - really friendly staff, top food and lovely atmosphere.

13th century local pub up in the hills, cosy, friendly and delicious. Great menu and fair choice of beers considering location. Book if you can. The tiny road to it is worth the drive.

Excellent friendly pub. Good food and clearly very popular. Will be back.

Lovely rustic, unpretentious, ancient pub. Really friendly welcome and staff and the food was good. My wife had the award winning salad (which turns out is proper national award!), kids options were good, and I had the pie. Bit disappointed that the pie was a puff pastry topped dish rather than a 'full pie' but the filling was flavoursome and obviously high quality steak.Chris, the owner, was friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. Although nice to chat, him doing his admin in the middle of the pub detracted from the atmosphere somewhat. The staff could perhaps be a bit more attentive - they certainly could have sold me another pint if they realised my glass was empty!Really recommend to all! A good meal in a great location.

Fantastic pub with great food and very friendly service. The Big Fella burger was exceptional. We had not booked for lunch but they were extremely accommodating and we enjoyed our meal. There is a lovely outdoor seating area with views of the ancient church. We will not hesitate to return to try the rest of the menu next time we are in the area.

We visited this pub unplanned to get some dinner whilst on holiday in the area. The service was incredibly friendly and professional, managed to squeeze us and the dog in without a reservation.the food was absolutely phenomenal, it arrived quickly and was fresh and so incredibly tasty. We both ha the salt and chili squid with aoli, and I had a steak and my partner a burger. The meat was sourced locally and was absolutely stunning. The portion sizes were perfect as well. Highly recommend!!Also had a beautiful large outside area which was incredibly well-kept next to a quaint church and rolling hills in the background.
