Full of Character, the staff are cheerful and the menu is massive... too extensive to be honest.A real old fashioned pub, used by locals.Well worth a visit....

What a gem. Visited en route back from a day out. Proper village pub vibes, charming old decor. Most importantly 4 local ales on cask, rarely seen these days.A big menu but everything we had was freshly made. Great vegan chicken mushroom pie, well cooked duck breast and cracking dauphinoise potatoes. Really friendly and attentive staff.

Excellent food. Small inside, so book ahead. Dog friendly in the bar area.We did a lovely walk from here to Whitestone and back and enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch afterwards. Excellent, friendly service

Popped in for lunch. Pork crackling was fantastic see the pic and 2 great steaks cooked really well just a little light on seasoning. Service was personal relaxed and friendly.

Six of us stopped for lunch and we were all very happy with the excellent home cooked food and friendly efficient service. Very reasonable prices were a pleasant surprise as well. Recommended.

When I booked I was told there was only outdoor seating available, I had no problems with this but had no idea that the outdoor seating was old picnic tables that were unbelievably uncomfortable! I was not told at the time of booking that it was a set menu only. The service was friendly but totally unorganised and chaotic especially when the time came to pay the bill!Food was ok, the soup was only Luke warm and the meat was tough but tasty.I've always wanted to try this pub but I've done it now and won't rush back.
