Excellent Sunday dinner. Service with a smile and nothing was too much trouble.Very relaxing way to spend an afternoon in this lovely town.

Had two lovely meals here over Christmas and New Years. They are really accommodating as we have a child with Coeliac and the chef is always happy to make child portions or adaptations of adult dishes for her.

Good food and a lot of it. I normally go for the Sunday Roast but decided to go for the fish and chips. Not disappointed with my choice. As a starter I had the creamed mushrooms on bruchetter. For me there was too much of the cream sauce and 3 small pieces of bruchetter. The fish was a large battered piece and the chips were crunchy and soft in the centre. For dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. The wife normally asks for a child portion, but didn't this time. She didn't have a starter, chose the roast pork. This came with a lot of veg which she struggled to with. All very nice just too much. She then had the sticky toffee pudding custard, which she thoroughly enjoyed. All this with a double gun and tonic and large glass of Malbec came to Β£50. Will be looking to book again soon.

This is food and accommodation how it's meant to be, rooms are comfortable and quiet, the restaurant/pub has that traditional/personal touch missing from many pubs and hotels these days.Beers and excellent. Ok now food. Breakfast is something worth being away from home for, quality sausages, bacon perfect eggs, cherry tomatoes roasted on the vine and a big portabello mushroom.Dinner, for me cooked by Kelly. I've had the perfect, (and I don't use that lightly) fish and chips.A giant piece of fish encased in the batter of the god's. And chips that remind me of homecooked chips of my childhood. Oh and home made tartare sauce which any French chef would be proud to call their own. Ok, so yes I love the food here, well worth a visit, and in my case a trip from Derbyshire. Will be back(this is my second visit)

Beautiful pub. Lovely welcoming staff. The restaurant was beautiful, full of character. Fine dining experience at a low cost. Beautiful food from starter to dessert.Walnut pate starter was the best starter I've ever had.

Can't recommend enough. Lovely old pub with very nice beer garden. Excellent choice of drinks. Very friendly staff. Stuart the manager was very accommodating for our hungry baby and got the food out for her very quickly. The food was delicious, just could've done with more chips! Will certainly be visiting as often as possible.

Good atmosphere. Attentive staff and good food, health and safety is adhered to very well, screens in place and hand sanitisation is available at multiple locations. Whoring a mask is compulsory if not sat down at a table or sat in the rear garden. We well advise to have the steak, good prices with a top meal
