We stayed here for a night as walking Offa's Dyke as part of Lands End to John O'groats. The owners couldn't have been nicer. And the food was excellent. The room was tatty but I don't much care about that, a warm welcome is much more important. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because of the lumpy mattresses on the single beds. The boys' bunkbeds were fine. Despite the beds, I'd go back if I was passing through again.

Stopped by with a ravenous hunger and was far from disappointed, the garlic mushroom starter was extremely tasty and in a sizeable portion and the steak was cooked to perfection with tasty chips and a well dressed salad. The service was excellent and I found the staff to be very welcoming and friendly and I thoroughly recommend this place for a food feed in an aesthetically pleasing place with an ample sized carpark for large vans.

Warmest welcome, excellent food. Wonderful to meet owners who care so much about each of their customers coming through the door.

This pub needs a deep clean and revamped and up date could be a great pub with caravan and Motorhome camp site on its doorstep and passing trade

Really nice local pub. Very friendly bar staff, who made us feel very welcome. Good beer garden. Prices are very reasonable for drinks and food. They do food all day. Very close to Pandy club camp site, well worth a visit.

Had Sunday dinner late July ‘21Starters- ok- standard for price.Veg- frozen not freshMeat was good (apart from beef -tough)Gravy- very salty……Seems to be a lot of people living / working in the pub and they are back and forth through the bar area a lot- most not wearing masks, quite often rushing past talking. It gives a rather unsettled feeling for a relaxed lunch.Service from the waitress was lovely. But overall I think personally if they start using fresh veg, homemade Yorkshire’s and adjust their gravy and portions, it would have been a different review.

Village pub that serves food. This place was unpretentious and served usual pub grub. Was served by a busy waitress who whizzed about very efficiently so the service was quick and pleasant. Desserts were a bit over basic, and and wouldn't recommend the pavlova, not well described as no meringue, no cream. Kind of custard with fruit on a sponge base. Apart from this desert, a good experience.
