Room and bed was very clean, tea coffee and hot chocolate, with bottled water in rooms, nice toutch, slept like a baby, dinner was local traditional. I had steak and ail pie with blue cheese, very filling and top marks to chef, staff are very attentive friendly, breakfast kipper and poached eggs, 10/10 propper coffee. Feeling stuffed n ready for my day fully energised. Msny thanks..

I only ever write a review if I have a particularly good or bad experience. Thankfully in this case it was really good. The room was clean, spacious and tastefully decorated, with a lovely view of the Usk countryside out the window. However the highlight of our stay was the fantastic food, well cooked and wonderfully tasty no one in our group had a bad thing to stay. The friendly, helpful and prompt service from the waiting staff only helped to make it a thoroughly enjoyable evening for all of us. The breakfast was also very good.If I had one criticism it would be the surprisingly lack of choice of craft ales for a country inn. I do like my ales but all they had on draft was Butty Bach. Thankfully it was a very nice pint.

Great hotel with great food and all of the staff were friendly. Our dog was made to feel welcome as well and he enjoyed lying by the fire in the bar. Would.and have. recommended to lots of people. We will use again without a doubt.

Brilliant customer service from check in to departure. This is a lovely place to stay. The rooms are bright and cleaning is of a high standard. Tea making facilities in the room a flat screen TV on the wall and en-suite with a shower cubicle. Lovely bar downstairs and restaurant with a large flat screen showing all major sporting events. Drinks and meals at very reasonable prices and the breakfast is one of the best I have tasted. Your made to feel welcome and nothing is to much trouble. Plenty of car parking spaces including a disabled bay. Cost was £75 per night including breakfast. One thing to bear in mind is that no food is served on a Monday and bar does not open until 3pm and closes at various times in the evening between 9pm and 11pm depending on how many guests are drinking. Only about a 10 minute drive to Usk square and the town centre where you will find cafe's pubs, hotels and an Indian restaurant. Castle Inn well worth a visit situated in the square opens at 12pm for lunch or basket meals at £5.00. Lovely beer garden at rear of pub. Highly recommended. If you book a stay at Llangeview lodge you will not be disappointed.

Under newish management having gone through a number of incarnations over the years.Food was very good, slightly on the high side price wise, and as it was freshly cooked it took a little time to come.We are going back for Mothering Sunday, so that says it all really.

The location is a little isolated in-so-far as it's a drive from anywhere. However, it offers fabulous food and a decent range of drink at what I consider to be a very reasonable price. The room we stayed in, a King Room, was very recently renovated in a tasteful manner with a highlight being the comfortable mattress. The breakfast was good and surpringly generous in size considering it was includes in the price of the room. Service at bother dinner and breakfast was a little slow but I believe this was due to a full room rather than last staff! I shall be returning.

So glad I stayed here and it happened last minute. So much so I stayed for an extra three nights. The staff are friendly and it is clear they have spent a lot of money doing it up. Every room is individual and the breakfast is awesome. I can't praise it enough. Is refurbished to a high standard and well worth giving it a try

Had a lovely couple of nights staying here. Staff very polite. Considering they have only re opened a few weeks ago they are working very hard to make your stay memorable. Good food. And I will be visiting again. They will make it. A lot better in time. I'm looking forward to seeing how they get on. Good luck Paul and Sam.Sean and sue.
