Lovely friendly welcome. They couldn't do enough for us. Very good food and nice selection of local ales. Good basic menu and large and varied specials board. Asked if they would prepare something off menu, no problem at all. Looking forward to returning soon.

Great service and food,, large portions and fine cider on tap. Mixture of locals and tourists , excellent service and attention to detail. Asked for eggs over easy and that precisely what I got!

Liked this nice little restaurant a short distance from the Tintern Abbey. There are some tables available across the road next to the river as well. If you have really good olfactory senses then don't sit there in the summer as you know...but the staff was so lovely, the food was good and we enjoyed ourselves. Would happily go there again next if I visit there again.

Feel bit bad given 3 but it's the whole experience.Food was very nice and good value.Staff (female) who served us were great. My only issue was it's very tired and needs updating. I used to go here 20 years a go and was very nice fresh inside many a pub crawl

The Rose & Crown in Tintern is fantastic.Great food at excellent prices but what really stands out is the customer service. Booking a table via Sally couldn't have been easier and everyone there was lovely. The tables in the pub are nicely spaced out so you don't feel cramped or worry that you might bump into someone's chair as you do in other overcrowded places. A traditional pub in the best sense of the word as you can sit and have a chat long after your meal has ended and enjoy the beautiful view of the River Wye.4 of us went for Sunday Lunch and the pub looked great even on an overcast day. The lunch offerings themselves are delicious and the desserts are somehow even better. Excellent value for money considering the portion size too.Highly recommend a visit here!

We live locally and went here just for a drink on the off chance it might allow our dog in.Our dog was no problem, The drink also was no problem, but, we ended up staying longer and spending more money than just a couple of drinks. So here goes:The staff were really friendly and welcoming and gave the impression nothing would be too much trouble. They had a dedicated Vegan menu and were really pleased to meet our needs without Leaving us feeling like a nuisance. The food was really nice. It all tasted freshly made and home made at that.We overheard the staff interacting with other customers and their approach was the same, friendly, professional and welcoming. It was lovely to be surprised by just how nice it was and and to get a lovely meal for a very reasonable price. We will go back.

We have been walking past this lovely place for years and today was our first visit. What a lovely warm welcome & great service. A lovely young lady (Layla) was so helpful & looked after us. It's so cosy and felt like a traditional place. The bonus point was actual Homemade Food.

Lovely place on the northern edge of Tintern. I was here on a Sunday around lunchtime but early enough to grab a table next to the river for a pint which on a sunny day is beautiful. Good Wye Valley ales on tap. I didn't stay for food but apparently it would have been worth booking a reservation for Sunday lunch as they get pretty busy.

Sat by the river, we hadn't booked and wished we had! Fortunately a family cancelled so we were able to enjoy some good pub food.
