Stopped in for lunch en route to Cardiff and was served a lovely meal with fab service. Definitely recommend if you are ever visiting Chepstow!

·

Absolute gem of a pub.Great food, wide range of drinks on tap, fantastic courtyard garden and friendly staff, all situated in a great location with views of the castle.Definitely recommend. 👌

·

I didn't stay. But have visited the Tuns many times. Nice old pub. Has nands on a Saturday but there is a room you can talk in while the many and varied musicians do their thing.

·

Nice pub and so are the staff. However if you enjoy the sound of barking dogs plus bored kids running around the garden disturbing your converation and general enjoyment, this is the place for you!

·

Great selection of well kept ales at sensible prices plus friendly localsAlways good live bands playing on the weekendAnd quirky rooms to stay in overnightbut not very disabled friendly.

·

A proper pub. A good range of local beers. Also lagers and wines. Also a good home cooked varied menu. Prices very reasonable. Lovely beer garden with excellent views of the castle. Dog friendly.

Got off a National Express coach from London on a Friday night and walked straight into a friendly, cosy pub with great atmosphere. If I did have any negative comments it would be that the bar noise is quite loud in the bedrooms...but what do you expect from a very old building? Luckily I always carry earplugs in my wash bag...Good range of beers on the pump and a landlord who loves his whisky...highly recommended

Reasonably priced and very clean with comfortable bed. Bathroom not “en suite “ but in separate room with curtains across passage outside of door. Bath but no shower screen. Plenty of hot water. Worst part was the rock band playing under our room. We were told it would finish at 9 o’clock but it went on till nearly half past ten. Wouldn’t have booked if they had told us about the band. TV didn’t really work but they rarely do in B&Bs!Breakfast not very good. Cereal a choice of Coco Pops or Rice Crispies with cheap muesli or granola. No toast offered. Good coffee.Pub is a in a nice area near river and could be a really nice place to stay.

I was certain, after entering my room, that soon enough, four hobbits would coming knocking on my door looking for an old Wizard...This place is old, in the order of a few hundred years and it's held onto its age and quirks while being clean and tidy with a lovely country pub. The staff there are also excellent hosts making this an overall great place to stay. Recommended.

Great little boozer with an amazing beer garden. Food is served, dog friendly. You can even stay over! Lovely staff, bands on in the bandstand most weekends, outdoor marquee and street food truck. Great view of Chepstow Castle.
