Incredible…..we enjoyed a really special evening at The Whitebrook. Food is simply brilliant, wine pairing was unreal! Staff are very knowledgable and professional. Our night in the hotel was really lovely too. Great room with lots of special, thoughtful touches.

We came here for Sunday lunch with friends. The food is superb- one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The restaurant has a great ethos and supports local businesses which is always a bonus.

I want to start off saying food was exceptional, up there with the best we've had. Highlights being the hogget and cod dishes. The cep butter should be sold everywhere. However the service was a little cold, the sommelier was knowledgeable and great pairing but we felt the rest were a little cold and unwelcoming. All very professional still. The ambience there is also a litter stale, I think could be changed with some quiet back ground music. We could hear either a dish washer or washing machine hum whilst dining. It's definitely worth a trip for the food and maybe we just like a slight more of a 'buzz' (non mechanical) whilst dining. Will visit again in different season to see the changes on menu!

What an incredible little find. Not only was the food superb, with such respect to the local environment, but the waiting staff and the wine pairing was another level. The room, food, wine & staff at this hidden gem are absolutely amazing. Looking forward to my next visit

Stunning location, tasteful decor and delicious food! Many thanks for catering to my veganism and my colleagues loved their meat/fish dishes. I feel that a dining experience with yourself should be special and it was for the most part except for being given rapeseed oil while my meat eating friends were given two whipped flavoured butters with their bread with leaves and capers - at least a flavouring to the oil and some extras would have sufficed. And one of my mains came on a physically smaller plate and was smaller than the fish dish despite being all vegetable - it should be the opposite! I felt short changed. Would return - but please consider the above. Thanks.

Always unique, perfectly presented and delicious. More than just a meal. A thought provoking experience.

My husband and I celebrated my birthday here last weekend. Everything was absolutely faultless from our lovely bedroom to our fantastic tasting menu dinner. Our hosts were extremely knowledgeable, especially about the wine selection and food provenance. What made the evening particularly memorable was the power outage that affected the valley: a result of the recent storms. Even without light or heating our hosts managed, with consumate professionalism, to deliver the whole 9 course tasting menu seamlessly. It was absolutely delicious and faultless. Regardless that we had such a great time, when it came to settle up the next morning because of the power cut the chef patron had reduced our bill significantly without prompting, a gesture we really appreciated but couldn't fully accept as we had so much enjoyed ourselves. By the way the power came back on after just a few hours in plenty of time for a hearty breakfast.

Lovely restaurant with accommodation situated off the beaten track. Very delicate and beautifully cooked food with a large range of wines to choose from. A great place to treat loved ones or for that special occasion.

Not the easiest place to get to, but definitely well worth the journey. The food is divine. The tasting menu was perfectly balanced. The surrounding area has many beautiful walks. P. S. No mobile reception in the area so great excuse to ditch the phone and immerse yourself in the gastronomic delights

This is a place to visit for a special occasion. The tasting menu was outstanding - the quality ingredients were show cased to their best. I'd almost have been happy to become vegetarian on the back of that...but the lamb course quickly changed my mind back again. Also if you've been walking & have a quick chilled cider on arrival, be warned that this may then encourage you to choose the wine pairings too! A really enjoyable treat.
