The whole earth cafe bistro in Monmouthshire

Got a takeaway and it was pretty standard Thai food - surprised by the high ratings to be honest. The person who served us was quite abrupt which has put me off trying it again - must have had someone else to who other reviewers seem to mention.

Held a 60th birthday family meal in the newly added dining room (v pretty with mirrored wall at one end). It was a wonderful evening Food exceeded expectations. Prae went the extra mile and prepared some divine Thai fresh spring prawn rolls in rice wrappers accompanied by a special dipping sauce. This was followed by platters of freshly prepared mixed Thai starters, soups, bowls of green, massaman and penang curries and pad thai. All full of flavour (thank you Prae and Bev). We had two chefs in our family party who had a great evening! The staff were fabulous and really looked after us. Water jugs replenished without asking. These little touches make all the difference. As you take your own alcohol (just pay corkage) you can enjoy your favourite celebration drinks without breaking the bank. Bottles were delivered earlier in the day and chilled to perfectionWe sorted the menu in advance as we were a large party - everything ran so smoothly. **highly recommend**

We always have the Thai food here for lunch when we are in monmouth a few times a year. What I do like is that the owner always seems to either take your order , serve you or just visit the table to ensure everything is just what you wanted.

Lovely little bistro. The lady that runs it is warm and friendly. Had tea and cake in the afternoon and returned for evening meal. Small menu but everything cooked fresh. Delightful. Will definitely return when next on holiday.

We were treated to a delicious feast of the most perfect tom yum soup and the mixed starters were superb followed by moreish pad thai, beef salad, panang curry and a chicken dish. Generous portions to the point we needed a doggy bag and the owner kindly gave us extra rice! Wonderful friendly service too despite being busy. Looking forward to going back :)

Ate outside in nice secluded courtyard as full inside. Delicious fresh Thai food and plenty of it.

Wonderful cafe. Very friendly staff.Immediately bought our hot dog some water, offered to fill up water bottles for our walk.Lovely selection of teas and a nice quiet spot.Highly recommend!

Warm and friendly service. Great Thai food and everything else too. Good selection of food and hot/cold drinks. Evening food is delicious and it's a nice place for a meal. 'Bring your own' is a great idea too.

A lovely restaurant - the hostess was very friendly and nice. Great experience. Food was freshly prepared and tasted great & they were accommodating with dietary requirements.

Pleasant enough cafe, good range of food on offer but slow service. Rather taken aback by the owner/manager questioning why I had left some cake, seemed to take it personally, felt very awkward.
