Brilliant tea shop with amazing friendly staff and welcoming.We make it a regular Saturday treat my daughter loves the hot chocolate with all the trimmings, and the cakes and crumpets are lovely.

We were in there today about midday (13/05/22) I have been unwell and needed to sit down and have a drink. The owner came over with the GENERIC greeting and Menu. I asked if he had Diet coke or similar. He quite rudely pointed out that they only served what was on the menu WHICH I HADN'T HAD THE CHANCE TO LOOK AT. I wanted to leave but my husband knew I needed a drink and rest.He ordered our drinks and sandwiches.By the time the sandwiches arrived I was feeling quite poorly and explained and asked if they would please wrap the sandwiches for me. I explained how poorly I felt. The waitress put a paper bag on the table for me. The Manager was in earshot when my husband said he needed to find me somewhere to sit while he got the car as it was quite a walk. NO OFFER OF HELP WHATSOEVER. IGNORANT AND RUDE.

A wonderful little cafe with impecible staff and wonderful tea and cakes. The smoked salmon crumpets are a particular favourite of mine and have always had the best treatment!

Beautiful food wonderful hot chocolate and lovely staff took my granddaughter there very friendly would highly recommend

We popped in here for brunch today. It’s about 5 minutes walk from the castle. Service was lovely and there is lots of seating inside. There’s a good menu and it’s all beautifully presented and tasted delicious. Certainly recommend.

Purchased a coffee and a toastie to go. Friendly service and high quality food.

Great little café place full of character and cake. The coffee was strong and the toasties were delicious with generous filling. Very attentive staff which catered to our various requests as we were with a baby.

Great little cafe, lots of helpful staff, good simple choices. Nice flavours and cream cheese and salmon crumpets. Nice little bistro garden.
