Usk Traditional Fish & Chips in Monmouthshire

Great fish and great chips, with a good range of sauces too!

The wife and I called in for a sausage and chips recently. The chips were what we could only describe as Scragends. The chips were mainly spikes and end cuts. Very few actual proper chips. Will not buy from here again. A tenner down the toilet in our view.

Good service but personally I found the chips a little on the greasy side.

You will get plenty of delicious food here! The staff was friendly and provided excellent service. The fish was right out of the fryer and was hot, moist and crispy!

Very nice chips and gravy, quickly served by friendly staff. For a chippy in a small village, the menu has a good range. Great place to stop off and get a bite to eat mid-journey.

Nicely cooked chips, cooked just right (not too oily, not too dry). Batter was delicious, melted in the mouth not in the hand!Friendly staff and clean, spotless premises. This will be our new regional chip shop now.

The fish was lovely, chips were a bit dry and stale (😞). Plus there was excitement on the main road outside

Absolutely fabulous fish and chips. Lovely thick pieces of cod, cooked fresh. Chips are thick cut and lovely and fluffy. Curry sauce and mushy peas all home made. Quite simply, the best around. Ignore the poor reviews - they relate to the previous owners

This was the first time I had tried this Fish Shop. The chips were crisp on the outside soft in the middle very tasty. The batter on the fish was crisp and well cooked the fish I had was cod it was flaky, nice and white in colour. Excellent value. I would recommend Usk Traditional Fish & Chips.

Been here twice in a week. Gravy and chips both times. Lovely. Friendly. Reasonably priced and open long hours as well. Good meal deals available. And on both occasions the 2 ladies were nice to talk to. Well done!
