Called in this evening. Waited while customers with orders already placed were served. Once all current customers had collected their food I then waited to be served.I’m stood right in front of the tills waiting to be acknowledged but staff did not even look up. A guy then walks in who staff appear to know and he gets served immediately!!! I’m still standing there and shocked that I’ve effectively just been completely ignored. What a disgusting attitude from this establishment. I was totally gobsmacked !I obviously walked out without saying anything as the staff were clearly very ignorant and not interested in my custom.I honestly can’t recommend this place as I’ve never experienced such rude, arrogant and blatant disregard in ANY establishment before. AVOID this place they only seem to like their “Mates”

Chips had lots of burnt black bits on them and also it looked liked all the left overs. Pie looked like road kill and cold in middle perhaps the no 47 bus had driven through prior to our arrival.

Good portions and reasonably priced. The piece of fish was huge and the batter was lovely and crispy.Couldn't finish the chips so will get a normal portion next time.Didn't have to wait too long either and before I knew it, was falling asleep on the sofa

Nice fish and chips. Staff observed Covid precautions. Good experience.

·

personally I think the Fish and chips here are great and I have used many times, the only thing that lets them down is the painfully slow service, there is zero multi tasking going on, it really is painful to watch, the sign at the counter says training new staff please be patient, I am all for that but this sign has been up months, how long can it take to train someone ?Please get some kind of system going and help each other out.....

Best fish and chips around. I've used this place several times now and their chips are always perfect.Would be nice if they took card payments though.

·

Very disappointing the chips were cold and the fish was barely warm. This always has been good in the past, But 2nd time now I've been disappointed by sub par food.

The chips are nice from here but waiting 15 minutes every time I go isn’t great. The staff didn’t seem to be helping each other in order to deal with long queues which makes it frustrating to watch. I also understand waiting outside is preferred due to covid (and I prefer this too) but standing out in the rain for this length of time isn’t ideal.

Good chips. Proper chip shop gravy. Overall really good but 1 star dropped for portion sizes. A large chips should be a large chips, not a poorly filled polystyrene tray.

First time we have bought chips from this establishment, normally use the other branch in the village but due to CoVid that one is closed. Anyway the chips were beautifully cooked and tasty well worth a treat back home with cold chicken and eggs.
