My husband and I went here one Saturday evening for an evening meal.We were shown to our table and given a very sparse menu.We asked if that was the only menu and was told that she would get the 'Specials Menu'.We both chose from the 'Specials Menu'.My husband had battered Hake and I chose the Braised Lamb Chops. When our food arrived, it looked very disappointing - I had 3 of the tiniest Lamb Chops I've ever seen covered with a gravy. There were no vegetables included except for boiled potatoes which I chose, and chips for my husband.Meanwhile, all we could hear throughout our visit was a female voice screaming from the kitchen. She was obviously having a very bad day and didn't care who heard about it. At one point she came out of the kitchen and began complaining very loudly to the bar staff !!We won't be visiting here again as there are much better restaurants in and around Port Talbot to spend our money in.

The room was nicer than I expected but service wasn't very good, in fact at breakfast there was nobody around at all until I tried to get a knife and fork and then I was rudely advised were I 'should have got them from' shame as the hotel was decent overall.

Went here for food and the food was great and thoroughly enjoyed. The portion size was great and the food was very nice. The service was great and staff were friendly and helpful. Went on Sunday so had Sunday roast and was not disappointed. Would come again.

Always love the food in Blanco's but I was very disappointed with the menu availability yesterday. By 5:00 my first three choices were unavailable!! Lamb cutlets, grilled plaice and the Lasagne!!

Love everything about this hotel. We went on a weekend package deal stopping overnight and watching the tribute act "The Voice Tones" who are a Frankie Valli tribute band on Friday 1st April. Thoroughly enjoyed it and excellent value for money. Staff are lovely. Room was spotlessly clean. Food was delicious. In fact we have nothing negative to say about this hotel. Will definitely be back and would definitely recommend.

A mother's Day treat from my daughter, "Dirty Dancing" evening, with a 2 course meal, overnight stay and breakfast. Absolutely lovely, if I could pick one fault that would be the time of the evening meal. It was 8:40 by the time we were eating. I do think they could start serving from 6:30-7:00pm

Spent one night here after a friends wedding, somebody else was given the key to our room at 1am, came in and started being sick in the bathroom. Resulted in me having to get up and dressed to go to reception to sort this out in the middle of the night. The manger the next morning seemed surprised that I wanted to complain and completely baffled when I suggested that some compensation might be in order given the complete lapse in security and ruined nights sleep. To make this worse, after they (eventually) formally investigated the complaint, the response was ‘sorry, won’t happen again’ I questioned this and the manger has ignored my emails and refused to take my calls ever since.Completely lack of professionalism and a frankly shabby hotel. Don’t waste your money.

Good car parking. Pleasant staff. Very limited choice of white wine (2). Had run out of some of the items on the lunch menu by 13.20. No longer any real ale sold here. Ample space to sit and chat with friends following a lunch. We were here to watch the evening show (Tom Jones tribute act) which was very good indeed, and all those present seemed to feel the same as the dance area was full most of the time. Evening meal served prior to the show was excellent. Our room was clean but some aspects in serious need of some TLC e.g. the heating, curtains, pillows. And the bathroom would really benefit from some hooks to hang towels. Tea, coffee facilities and hair dryer in the room. Breakfast was fine. All in all an enjoyable stay.

Reviewing the food as I didn’t stay. Party of 6 including 1 child. My sirloin steak was barely edible, chewy and pretty tasteless and at £18.50 I was expecting something more. The steak knife was cheap and not at all sharp, and the general feel and quality of everything was sub par. The drinks; soda and black, a Pepsi and lemonade off tap were flat. Kids menu was basic, but was ok. Fish dishes were passable, but uninspiring, curry was ok. Staff, a total of 6 different ones through the course of the meal, were pleasant and helpful, all young kids on their first job mostly. Definitely won’t be having food there again.
